Book 1
AaronChapter 1
The wind blew through the grass. There's a bunny sitting in the flower field. Eating one of the dandelions.
One of its ears twitching. Theres a rustle in the bush. It looked into the distance. Looked back down.
In that moment you could hear the sound of a bow swinging back. An arrow flew out of the bush and hitting the rabbit, killing it.
Out of the bush stepping a middle-aged man. Short, brown hair. His skin a little tanned.Wearing brown jeans, black and white sneakers. Both run down. He has a light blue sweater with a belt around it. He is wearing a jacket with a lot of patches. It looked like it hasn't been washed in days. Some piercings on his ear that he pierced himself. On his left cheek were some scratches he covered up with a plaster.
His right eye was blind, going up his whole right side of his face was a big scar, looking like something sliced through it. It already healed off.
The man picked up the bunny.
"Sorry little guy", he said and sighed.
He looked over his shoulder, back to the bush. He took the bow and putting it on his back and returns home. The brown haired man shoved the raspberry bush away, cutting one of his fingers. He sighed again and putting his finger in his mouth so he won't bleed all over his clothes.
It was his only good pair after all.
He looked up from his bleeding finger.
Infront of him his house.
Well more a home.
It was a cave with some curtains. Inside some self-made beds and bookshelves. A house in the city was too expensive, so that was the best solution.
Next to the cave was a little lake. Good for a swim in summer, no fish, just water.
On the shore sat a man with black hair. His hair so long it was covering his left eye."Morning, Phyllon", the browned haired man said.
The black haired man turned to him, with a creepy grin on his face. "Morning, Brother", he looked down on the rabbit, "For me?"
He now has a bigger smile on his face.
"Of course for you. I don't want you to starve", the brown hair chuckled. "Also you prefer wild catches, strangely", he adds, whispering.
"Oh Aaron, you're a darling, you know that?", Phyllon happily taking the rabbit in his posession. His hands fidgeting over it, like an animal over its prey. He looked up again, "What about you?"
"I skip lunch", Aaron said.
He looked around the lake.
"Where's Hunter?"
"Adventure"
"Again?"
"Yes."
"Of course. He'll come back."
He didn't.Aaron walked inside the cave. He searched for something. Maybe five or ten minutes. Eventually he makes an 'Ah' noise and grabbed a little bag, pulling out a wallet. Going through it.
A few golden, silver and nickel coins.
"Must be enough for food", Aaron mumbled to himself.
He wandered outside, sunshine shining directly his eye. He can't see for a few seconds.
The sunshine falling on the wall of the cave. On that wall were some badly drawn pictures with names under them.
On the far right was Aaron.
A little left was Phyllon, next to him Hunter.
The pictures were painted with self-made paint, the paint was a little bit washed out, like it was done years ago
Next to hunter was another drawing. It looks like the paint was swished with a palm of someones hand. The now destroyed portrait was crossed out with red, fresh-looking paint.
The Name reading 'Mom'.When Aaron left the cave, he blinked a few times, eventually his eye could see again.
The sun reflected on the lake. Phyllon was still on the shore. The rabbit gone, looking like he already ate it.
"I'm heading into town to get supplies", Aaron said, "Want to come with me?"
Phyllon turned around. "Well, sure. I have no choice, do I?"
"You just don't have any to annoy when I'm gone."
"Touché."A few minutes later both were up and walking through the woods, along a little dirt path leading to the small village called 'Mona'.
No one really knows where the name came from. Some say it's from a long lost tribe that settled down.
Now it's a small village with a market for food, houses and a few fun activities.Phyllon kicked a little stone away. It rolled a few meters and then stopped next to a big stone. Aaron and Phyllon both walked past. Aaron gave the stone a quick, concerned look, but continued to walk.
The stone wasn't a normal stone, it was a person turned into one.
The person looked like she dragged herself to the village. Her face is showing that she was laughing, but still in pain. On her cheek a tear.
She frooze in motion. The statue started to decay and plants grown around it.The gates of Mona opened and let the brothers in. They immedatly entered a market full of people. A lot of stands with meat, fruit, fish and more. Some even sold jewelry. Around you could hear the people talk. Gossip. The sellers screaming the newest prices.
They walked past a few stands and Aaron stopped at meat.
"One, please."
"My pleasure", the seller said.
Aaron threw two silver coins on the table and the seller packed meat in a little bag, handing it over to him.
"I hate that kind of meat", Phyllon complained.
"Well either that or starve", Aaron hissed back.
Phyllon stayed quiet.
They walked and bought a few more things and soon two hours have passed.Phyllon moaned, "Are we done yet? I want to go home. This sucks."
"I only need fish then we can go." Aaron gave his brother an annoyed look. What he would give to have a day without his complains.
They squeezed themselves through the crowd.
A lot of people were in a hurry to the next exit.
Weird, the market isn't closed yet, Aaron thought to himself.
Phyllon stopped and looked to his left.
"Look, a casino!", he said.
Aaron walked back to him. "We don't have time to play."
"How sad. I would love to see you fail", his black-haired brother said, joking.
Aaron rolled his eyes and continued his search for fish.A few minutes earlier, somewhere far
awayThe stars shimmered. The tower, quiet as always.
A blue haired girl humming a melody and watching something in front of her.
Behind her something sparks. She turns around.
From the spark emerged a portal. It gives away lightings and growls like a thunder cloud. The purple and green touch is unsettling for the girl. "What the fuck?", she asks herself, stepping closer to the portal.
She backs off when another woman steps out of it.
Blond, straight hair. Wearing a black and white suit.
In her hand is a coin. She's snipping it up. It rotates a few times in the air before she catches it again.
"Who the fuck are you? Stay away!", the blue-haired screamed. Looking around the tower for help. No one.
She backs off. "I said stay away you freak!"
The Woman smiled. Snipping the coin up again. "We are gonna have a lot of fun, honey."
As she catches the coin, a green steam emerges from the ground in a speed an eye couldn't catch. The blue haired girl starts coughing.
"Sleep", the blond haired woman's calm voice says, the girl struggeling to stay up on her feet. A few seconds later falling on the ground.
Before she blacks out completly, she feels two people grabbing her.
