Backstory: It's safe to say that Kurai had a rather, rough start in life. When she was 6 her dad, who had already displayed concerning behavior beforehand, went berserk and proceeded to murder her mom and big sister. He managed to slice her left eye but survived by playing dead until the police and ambulance arrived where they took her to the hospital while her father ended up getting shot by the police. This incident has been burned into Kurai memories. After that she ended up living in an orphanage until she was 12 and lived with the owners of the largest cemetery in Japan along with an incredibly successful funeral parlor which made them very wealthy. It was here where Kurai would find her ultimate as she would adapt to her new family's way of life.
