•Chapter 8•
When we arrive at the airport, the sky is still dark and the air is still cool. Derick and Max are quick to get out of the van, leaving Harry and I to ourselves inside. Harry turns around and faces me.
"Now, you must understand that we go by different names when we are in public. Derick is Jake. Max is Will. And I am Cade. Got it?" Harry states quickly and I nod.
"Now you will go by the name Savannah. We will separate from Max and Derick inside the airport and pretend we don't know them. They will be on our plane but we won't be near them. We don't want to seem suspicious. Now we will go along with the story that you are my girlfriend and we are going on holiday." Harry tells me and my eyes widen.
"Wait a minute! Girlfriend? I don't want to be your fake girlfriend. Why can't I just be your sister and we're going home to visit our parents?" I question him, completely against the idea.
"Because first of all, you're American and I'm English. Accent difference. And because I said so now be quiet. If you say a word about the truth I will follow through with my words of killing you. This is one of the most important things right now and we don't news anything to go wrong." Harry's voice is harsh. I nod before Harry moves and steps out of the van, opening the door to the back seat.
I jump out, landing on the hard concrete parking lot. Derick and Max are no where to be seen. Harry comes around the car, holding two duffel bags.
"Take yours and come on." He tells me and I obey, picking up my grey duffel bag and quickly walk to catch up with Harry and his fast pace.
The walk into the airport is a short distance. When you step inside, rows of check in stations are set up. People of all sorts sit on benches or quickly rush up the stairs to catch their flights.
I haven't seen Max and Derick since they vanished from the van moments ago. Harry seems as normal as he's ever been, like this is no big deal. As we step closer to the check in, I become more nervous.
We reach the lady at the desk. She has light brown hair tied in a ponytail. She looks like she is in her forties. When we reach her, she looks up at us and smiles.
"Hello, how may I help you?" She asks kindly. Harry remains cold.
"We have tickets for a flight to Tuscan leaving at seven." Harry tells her, handing her his pass. I remain by his side, trying not to seem as nervous as I am. She grabs the passes and starts trying on a computer.
"So Mr. Michaels, who is here with you?" The lady asks, looking up from the computer slightly to look at me. Harry tilts his head slightly at me.
"My girlfriend Savannah. We're going on holiday together." Harry says in a steady, unaffected voice. I smile vaguely at her, trying to do my best acting.
"Well aren't you guys the cutest couple. How long have you been together?" The lady questions on.
Please just shut up. I say in my head.
"About two years." Harry answers. He hasn't seemed phased at all. He just stands there, signing papers and acting as if this is normal to him.
"Well I'm very happy for you two. Have a great flight." The lady says, handing Harry the boarding passes and showing a smile. Harry only continues to frown, before picking up his bag and walking away, and I'm not far behind him.
"That wasn't so bad." I say quietly.
"That was the easiest part. We still have security." Harry tells me, not looking back at me. I swallow. If he gets caught with weapons, we will get put in prison and I most likely will too.
