•Chapter 20•

"Harry now look what you've done!" I shout at him. Here we go again.

"What I've done? You're the one that was walking away."

"But you are the one who was getting on my nerves.

"You're the one that started the argument!" Harry shouts at me lifting his hands up.

"Ugh!" I groan, throwing my head back. "What the heck are we going to do?"

"Riley I have meetings to go to. Do you know how bad it's gonna look when I don't show up to those?" Harry calls to me as I pace back and forth, making short glances at the sun as it seems to quickly set.

"Well call someone so we can get out of here." I suggest in a "duh" sort of tone. Harry quickly reaches for his phone, bringing it into sight before he lets out a frustrated breath.

"There's absolutely no signal." He says and my heart drops. We're stuck in the middle of a desert and it's getting dark.

"Well let's just start walking the way we came." I suggest, heading off into the direction I think we came.

"Riley we don't know that's the right direction. Didn't anyone ever teach you to stay when you are when you're lost." Harry says. I stop and turn around and face him.

"Well what are we going to do Harry. It's getting dark and we have no shelter. We could be in a trap for coyotes are something." I tell Harry, super frustrated with him.

"Okay well let's look for a flat part of the land and build a fire. The fire will hopefully keep any wild animals away." Harry says beginning to walk to search.

"You know how to make a fire without matches?" I ask. Harry turns around and looks at me with a smirk.

"Riley after running for this long I think I know how to make a fire without matches." He says like he's the smartest person out there. I furrow my eyes at him before turns and starts walking again. I stand, folding my arms. He is so infuriating.

"Come on Riley. The sun is setting quickly and we need to get going. Follow me or you'll be the coyotes dinner. You can help me by collecting some sticks once we find our spot." Harry says and I groan before running to catch up with him.

"Harry how am I suppose to find sticks in a desert?" I ask him, giving him a look.

"There are small plants. Collect sticks, trigs, branches off those. As many as hog can since they are smaller." Harry tells me and I actually nod.

We walk for a few minutes. Harry searches the ground for a dry and flat place to settle. While he does that, I look at the land around me. The sun is getting so close to disappearing behind the hills.

I have to admit, I'm a little nervous.

"Here's a good spot." Harry speaks up, causing me to turn and face where he is looking. There's a nice spot with few plants and just plain dirt.

Well my back is going to hurt in the morning.

"I'm going to start clearing this spot a little more." Harry starts, placing the picnic basket, filled with extras food, on the ground. "Go and collect some sticks." Is all he says next.

"You want me to go out into the middle of no where to find sticks?" I ask, placing my hands on my hips.

"Would you rather stay here where the animals can smell this food?" Harry asks me back. Of course I don't.

"Well what if I get even more lost? What'll I do then?" I question him again.

"Then scream as loud as you can and I'll come find you." He says and I sigh.
