Jimin pov

Jimin hung up the phone with his friend Taehyung and looked down at his barely-there pregnancy bump.

Yup, he was okay. He knew what Tae was worried about. But Jimin hadn't lied to his friend. He was fine.

Well as fine as one could be when you came back home and found the alpha you'd left your family, your home, your life for had run out on you.

Not only had Jiwoo left when he found out Jimin was pregnant, he'd also cleared out what savings Jimin had managed to put away.

As well as what he'd left home with.

The first time he'd walked in on Jiwoo fucking some random omega he'd picked up from whatever job he was working that week, both of them high as fucking kites, Jimin should have walked out.

But Jiwoo had promised, sworn up and down it would never happen again, blamed it all on the drugs.

Damn near cried when he told Jimin that it was the drugs that had led to the sex and he would never ever do it again.

The drugs and sex.

He'd lied on both counts.

What a fucking idiot he'd been to have believed the lying, thieving bastard.

He'd been naive from the start, if not, Jimin would have seen through Jiwoo's nice guy routine before he found himself in his current situation.

Now here he was, in an apartment that even a rat would sniff at, working as a busboy at a diner in the day and nights as a waiter at a bar.

Pregnant. Alone.

If his parents could see him now.

At least the tips were ok at his bar job, but how long would that last when it was so obvious that he was pregnant.

His tips depended on Jimin flirting, even though there was no follow through, he needed for alphas to at least believe they could get with him.

A pregnant belly would be the biggest closed for business sign ever.

After everything the bastard put him through, he'd actually walked out. A part of Jimin still couldn't believe it.

Jimin knew that he'd been an idiot for putting his trust in an alpha that could barely even hold down a job.

An alpha that let his omega work himself sick, only to turn around and spend said omega's money boozing and whoring.

Then again, by the time Jiwoo had shown his true colors, it'd been too late. Jimin had already given up so much. He'd held on from sheer stubbornness.

He should have listened when every one and their papas said Jiwoo was no good.

But love or first time teenage lust had a way of clouding one's judgment.

Now, after leaving his family and following the alpha all the way up here, Jimin had nothing to show for it but an almost empty account and a baby on the way.

And, oh yeah, he was a month or so away from living on the streets if something didn't give soon.

His pampered sixteen year old self could have never envisioned this scenario.

Everyone had told him it would end badly, and now that it had, Jimin felt like he had no choice but to figure shit out by himself.

Or he would have to go home, tail between his legs, and prove his parents right. And after the huge fuss he'd made, that just wasn't an option.

Looking back, Jimin would admit when his father had said Jiwoo was a no good waste of space, he had never imagined Jiwoo would ditch him.

Never in his wildest dreams did he envision that he would end up knocked up and alone, and days away from homelessness.

Yea, he'd definitely not seen any of it coming.

Jiwoo's desertion shouldn't have surprised him.

Jimin knew they'd been over for a while now. But his timing left a lot to be desired.

What he couldn't believe, even now, was Jiwoo hadn't just stolen from him, he'd stolen from their child.

But Jimin could take care of himself.

He had been since he left home after learning quickly he couldn't depend on Jimin for much more than the rent and sometimes Jimin had even had to chip in.

More and more, when Jiwoo realized that jimin had access to funds he'd never told him about.

That was probably the asshole's reasoning, he figured there was more money from where that came from.

Jimin should have seen that as the first sign of trouble; the fact that he'd felt the need to hide his one account his parents hadn't been able to freeze from Jiwoo.

That should have been enough of a warning to pause and think before he blew up his life for an alpha that turned out not to be worth the trouble.

If only the bastard hadn't cleared out his account. Stupid Jimin for having the damn account number on his phone. He should have known better.

But he was strong, he had to be for him and his little one.

He just had to be.
