Chapter 13: Ladybug vs Hawkmoth

Marinette POV

Hawkmoth and I tumbled onto the ground as I tried to remove the miraculous from him. He managed to push me off and throw his shield at me, knocking me onto the ground. As he raised his cane, I kicked him in the groin, stunning him. He grunted in pain as I got up and punched him in the face, breaking his nose.

"If you had suffered like I had, you wouldn't judge me." He said as he swung his umbrella at me. I blocked it with my yo-yo and kicked him in the stomach.

"I wouldn't sacrifice a whole world to bring back someone I love. They wouldn't want me to." I replied as we traded blows, blocking and parring each other. Hawkmoth made a grab for my earrings, but I ducked and kicked him towards a glass coffin. The coffin opened and I saw a blonde haired woman unconscious. I instantly recognized her.

Emilie Agreste. Adrien's mother.

I looked at her body and shook my head.

"Your wife wouldn't want you to do this. Gabriel, stop this before you end up losing yourself ." I said. 

The former business man growled and drew his dragon sword infused with the cataclysm. He slashed at me in a wild rage, forcing me back until I tripped over and fell flat on my back. My yo-yo rolled away from me. Hawkmoth raised his sword , preparing to finish me off.

Suddenly, a gun was fired. Hawkmoth dropped the sword and stepped back, clutching his shoulder. I looked back and saw Luka holding a gun in his hands. Hawkmoth glared at him and was about to unsheathe another weapon, but I got up and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks until I eventually punched him across the jaw again, knocking him to the ground. Hawkmoth crawled to his wife's coffin, sobbing.

"Emilie. Forgive me." He said and passed out.

I sighed and collapsed onto my knees. Luka hugged me from behind.

"It's over. We finally beat Hawkmoth." He said.

"Yeah. It's really over." I said with a smile and kissed Luka.
