Green eyes scanned the makeshift infirmary. The white beds are illuminated by the midday sun.

He rubbed his eyes, feeling quite sluggish.

How long had he been out for?
And why does he feel like he hasn't eaten in days?

Only then did he register the light rocking sensation. He felt his stomach churn and he hunched over himself, pressing his arms against his stomach to relieve the nauseating pain he felt.

His eyes spun with his head.

He needed to throw up.

But he was surrounded by beds. And he would need to go up to the deck to empty his aching stomach.

He managed to gather all his courage to get out of the bed and head to the deck of
the unknown ship.

He stepped out of the bed, legs weak from what he assumed to be a lack of use.

The question of how long he had been out arising in his mind once again.

He wobbled, managing to catch himself, before regaining his stability, the boat suddenly swayed. Causing him to lose his balance.

He prepared himself for impact with the ground, but instead, he felt a pair of arms catch him.

"Natsu! What are you doing? Are you tryna hurt yourself, idiot."

A voice he had gotten so used to hearing said.

Natsu frowned at his ex in pain, who instantly got the message picking him up and carrying him up to the deck and the edge of the deck, supporting him as he hung over the boat he regurgitated his lunch.

After throwing up he felt better. He may have still been in pain.

But at least he wasn't holding in his stomach acid.

"Thank you..." he flashed a weak smile, unable to look at the man that broke his heart a few weeks prior.

Gray understood this, and simply shook his head in agreement. "I gonna ask Mira to help you out. You good on your own?"

"Urgh, yeah... Just be quick, okay."

"Yeah."

With that Gray left Natsu alone to his churning stomach.

'Wait... Where is Happy?!'

The absence of his exceed only then occurred to him.

He wished he didn't have to handle this. Oh well, you win some you lose others. Such is the trade-off for being a Dragon Slayer.

"Natsu!" He hears Mira-Jane call out to him, already rubbing his back.
He felt his discomfort ease a little bit and lets out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Mira." He smiled weakly.

"I'm gonna go see if the others are awake yet." He was surprised to hear Gray still around. Natsu never thought he would have come back.

'Hmm...'

"Should I knock you out?" Mira asked, her face laced in pity.

'I do look pitiful, don't I?'

"Yes please, I'd rather sleep through this."

And with that, it all went black.
