REAL LIFE
Within days, Isa left the house to fly out to Salt Lake City to film her new show, to say the house was very depressed of her departure, was an understatement, there were tears; a lot of tears.
And as the day did approach, Isa played with the necklace around her neck as she wiped the tears that were falling from her glossy hazel gaze as she tried to fit some more things into her luggage.
"Isa." The brunette perked up at Cam's sleeping voice as he took a seat on the edge of her now empty bed, she sent a small, forced smile to him. "Yeah," she asked, know her face was red and puffy from constant crying. "I'm going to miss you," the Monroe boy said, his heart slowly shattering as he watched his one true love get up and wrap her arms around his neck.
He closed his eyes, holding her, wanting nothing more to then to tell her how he felt, wanting to kiss her forehead and tell her how gorgeous she looked when the light hit her gaze. Cam wanted so bad to tell her he needed her.
But he just couldn't, not right now.
Isa sniffed and pulled away. "You're such a good friend," she said, Cam forced a smile.
Definitely not right now.
The group had no time for breakfast so they stopped at a McDonald's and got something.
Roland yawned as the sunlight slowly peeled through the mountains. It was currently five am, Isa was in the passenger seat, it was just them and Rori, as the others were too tired to go to the airport. Isa was in her own thoughts, partly tired and partly confused at her own feelings, she was nervous and also excited to meet her costars.
Cam stared out the window of the van, the glow from Rori's phone was keeping him awake, Roland adjusted the volume on the radio for some background noise. Isa yawned, as they parked, Cam helped Isa with her things and they walked through the airport.
Five minutes later, the intercom called for get flight. "You got everything?" Cam asked getting as a small crowd of people started for the terminal. "Yes," Isa replied giving the boy a quick side hug. "Okay, um, alright," he said.
They approached the terminal, Cam huffed watching as she left. It's now or never! He told himself, "Isa!"
The girl turned confused. "Yeah?"
Cam swallowed. "Be careful."
She sent a thumbs up before disappearing.
And was gone.
When Cam returned home, he was comforted by Val, who found him on the rooftop. "I didn't tell her," he said as Val rubbed his back, "I wanted to Val, I wanted to, I just—couldn't."
"I know honey, I know."
Meanwhile, in Salt Lake, Isa held the necklace Cam had given her, nervous at the idea of being without him for so long.
But she forgot her troubles when she saw Josh.
His embrace sent goosebumps along her body.
Was this love?
"Don't blame me, love made me crazy, if it doesn't you ain't doing it right."
Vienna stopped singing for a minute and posted the short video on TikTok, it didn't really gain popularity in the first couple of minutes. She had captioned it "for her."
Despite her secret she didn't really care, her friendship with Rori was still alive and thriving and she hadn't crossed any lines, they just wanted to get her feelings out and singing was a good way to do that.
Right after Isa left, Cam did to, saying he needed to go see his kid in Texas, so he'd be gone for some time, meanwhile, Rori had moved into Roland's room, and Val and Estelle told the house they were dating (no one was surprised.)
Isa was texting the group chat like everyday asking if everyone was okay and that she couldn't wait until filming was over.
"Hey V," it was Roland, he was leaning against the door frame, "can we talk?"
Nodding, V followed him out to the back porch, the two blinked in confusion when they saw the pool. "Okay, interesting, I didn't know we had that." Vienna said with a laugh, "Anyways what's up?"
She took a seat on the swing, Roland scratches the back of his neck then sighed. "Look don't take this personal, but I'm in a relationship and i know we're friends and all, but like I don't like you like that."
"Pardon?"
"It's just it's pretty obvious, I see how you stare."
"Are you assuming I like you?"
"Well I mean—"
"I don't, don't worry, I never did."
She stood and went back inside, shoving past Rori who looked very confused and turned to her boyfriend. "What's her damage?" The binge asked. "I don't know, and stop quoting Heathers, Jesus."
Rori blinked and followed her friend who was getting into her car.
"Hey bestie," Rori said getting the passenger seat, V huffed, "I'm not telling you what's wrong."
"Don't have to, I'm bored, let's go do something."
V smiled, as much as they liked Rori, their friendship with her was way stronger.
