I take the twins over to see my best friend, Hitch. We met a week after Armin... Hurt me. She was going through something similar and so we bonded really well.
When Hitch saw the kids she ran up and squeezed them.
"I've missed you guys sooooo much!" Hitch exclaimed while letting them go
"Hi auntie Hitch!" Carter said with a grin
"Hi." Charlotte said in her sweet little innocent voice
"Okay, so, what has been going on lately?" She asked, me smiling forgetting the fact that they had met their father
"We got to meet our dad!" Carter said jumping up and down
"What." Hitch said, stunned "hey guys, can you go and play in the playroom while I talk to your mom please?" She asked and they agreed and went to the playroom
"Armin? He knows about them?" Hitch asked worried
"Y-Yeah. He knows, and tomorrow me, Mikasa, Eren, Sasha, and Connie are going to Niccolo's restaurant because he wants to explain what happened" I said with an exhausted sigh
"I want to come too. Please Annie?" Hitch asked
"Okay. Since he's going to be a part of Carter and Charlotte's lives now, he should know you now too I suppose." I said with a small smile, knowing that my best friend was going to be there for me
"Well then, I'm going to go play with the kids. Why don't you sit down and relax for a little bit?" Hitch said while going into the playroom
"Okay. Oh! Do you know anyone who can watch the kids? Mikasa was gonna ask you, but if you're coming, then we should find someone else." I said
"Oh! What about Marco and Jean? They could watch all the kids and then you could have a meeting with them and Armin to talk about everything." Hitch suggested
"Yeah! That sounds great! I'll tell Mikasa and Sasha tonight and also ask Marco" I said
"Great! Then I'm going to play with the little ones and I'll see you soon"
"Okay. Have fun" I said as she went into the playroom again
And so I sat down on the couch and thought about what was going to happen tomorrow. I was nervous but excited at the same time. What was he gonna say? Was it just going to be a lame excuse? Or would it be real?
