A girl in Las Vegas
Fell in love with a poet
From her hometown Seattle,
But she refuses to show it.Keeps him at bay
Due to joining he navy,
Cause life on a sub
Is not all biscuits and gravyA pain in his heart
From not being able to talk
Won't see her for months
But he'll count on the clockHe'll count the hours
Oh, hell count the minutes
Not seeing her face will
Sure kill his spiritHe'll focus on work
The time will fly by
Until he's next to her,
And she's by his sideHe'll surprise her at home
In the heat of the summer
He'll knock on her door
And she'll turn to butterJump in his arms
And they hold each other real close
"I can't believe that you're here.."
She doesn't let goHis dress top gets ruined
By her beautiful tears
They smile real wide
It's spread ear to ear"Oh I'm not crying"
He says with a smirk
"The wind and the dust
Filled my eyes with dirt"He laughs and she giggles
As he cups her face
All of time stopped
When their lips embracedKelsie and Chris
Those were there names
When they get sad
They'll look back on this dayThis was a beautiful way
Of saying hello
Feelings won't change
Even as they grow oldHe would still love her
As her hair turns to grey
I'm not good at ending my poems
So have a nice day-Navy Boy

Poems From A Navy Boy
PoetryA collection of poems from a good friend of mine in the navy. They range quite dramatically. - He also has no clue that I'm putting them on here, so for the sake of being anonymous, the credit will just go to Navy Boy.
