It was half past 8 at night and today it was the Lan twins turn to patrol.

'Just half an hour more' Lan Meng thought tierdly it was almost her Lan bedtime (yes one of the 3000 lan rules is to sleep at 9 O'clock sharp and a curfew of 7), and also all the preparations and the night hunt had also taken a toll on her today.

Lan Meng could even see her ever perfect jade brother struggling to keep his eyes open right now. She gestured her brother and flew towards the other watch tower as she felt something to move there.

When she went there she saw a black owl with red eyes flying away 'strange' Lan Meng thought.

But as she turned to see towards the place where her brother was standing earlier, she saw another boy wait- that Jiang boy what was his name again?Yes Wei Wuxian standing at the wall beside the watch tower and her brother point a SWORD on his neck???glaring, and that stupid boy is smiling, it's already wayy past the curfew and that boy came inside intruding the wards,climbing over a wall and what's in his hands- ALCOHOL?and did that stupid just gestured to offer one to her brother??Wo De Tian...this boy is sooo dead,how can someone manage to break so many rules at once??brother looks as if he wants to kill- no wait- wait- brother looks kind of excited??with years of experience she had mastered to read her stone faced brother and she is sure that despite of the frown and anger he looks kind of excited and for what to fight with that boy to punish him or-----and wait she should stop this..she knows but she also felt an urge to enjoy the show, like lan clan is truly boring,you rarely see such fights and she doubts that this boy could be as skilled as her brother...and if things go out of the hand in anyway she would then interfere yes now let's just enjoy the show and brother seems to forget her existence anyways, as for once he has not seen her way and that was truly unlike of him....

On the other side when Wuxian returned with the invitation he saw no one outside the gate.

He predicted that may be that Young Maiden truly found a way to help her clan members, yes probably she did, that arrogant ice cold brother of hers would never-

But as he tried to entered he realized that the gate was warded with spells, but as he was already a master of spells and talismans he quickly found a way to break it and as he managed climbed the wall and stand on top of it, he found a sword pointing on his neck and when he saw at his side he saw a divine angel in white flowy robes..godd this is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen in his almost 16 years of life, and the angel seemed to look as he wanted to kill him and wait is not him that Gongzi of earlier who forbidded his clan to enter without invitation..

"Past curfew,Forbidden to enter before 5 am in the morning" Said Wangji sheathing his sword.

"Ahh?? Gongzi but I do have the invitation this time, see... " Wuxian said showing the invitation card in his hand.

"Past Curfew, Come back tomorrow morning" Wangji said curtly.

"But Gongzi where would I go at this time?? " Wuxian said in a whiny tone.

Wangji did not reply to his whining but instead glared at the bottles in his hands and said "Alcohol is forbidden in Cloud Recesses"

"What forbidden???I didn't know about your rules otherwise I would not have done so" Wuxian said with innocent smile. 'Instead I would have quietly taken it inside my room and enjoyed it' thought slyly with a smirk.
