Strolling my suitcases through the airport of Tokyo I was searching for familiar faces.

- Sayu!! - I heard a scream from behind. I turned around with a big grin on my lips knowing very well who the voice belonged to.

- Mei! - once noting my little sister in the crowd I exclaimed running towards her leaving my luggage behind. Once I got to her she jumped into my arms making me stumble back a little hugging me tightly.

- I missed you so much, - she said still keeping me in a tight hug.

- I missed you too sunshine. You've grown so much I can barely hold you up, - I said giggling and put her down. I pushed her back a little to take a good look at my now full grown ass sister.

I moved away to New York when she was only 12 years old. Now standing before me was a beautiful 17 year old young lady.

- You look so beautiful sunshine. A lot like mother. - I smiled at her seeing her blushing cheeks.

- What about me? - a deep voiced asked. I turned to my side to see my father standing before me with a smile on his face.

- Father, - I said bowing, - how are you?

He rolled his eyes at me.

- Cut that and give your father a hug. - he said opening his arms to me. I immediately jumped into his arms burying my face onto his shoulder.

- I missed you, - I whispered to him trying to keep myself from crying, however my trembling voice surely gave me away.

- I missed you too angel, - he said gently, tightening the hug. - You're home now.

After the emotional reunion we got back my luggage from the place I left it before I running to my sister. We staffed the trunk of my father's car with my suitcases and headed home.

The drive home was filled with small talks about the flight and New York.

We pulled to the driveway of my childhood home. It seemed like no time has passed.

Getting out of the car a small breeze flew through my hair. It was filled with a smell of roses. I took a deep sniff trying to capture the smell as much as my lungs would allow.

- You took care of them, - I said to no one in particular looking at the roses in front of the house.

- Of course we did Sayu, she planted those and cared for them with her own hands, - Mei spoke unloading the trunk, - and her heart.

She almost whispered the last part, but I heard her. It brought a smile to my face seeing the red and white flowers planted by my mother before her passing. I kneeled down and started caressing those gently.

- I'm home mother, - I whispered tears rolling down my eyes.

----time skip----

After putting my staff away in my childhood bedroom I rushed downstairs to make some tea. Before my departure to collage we had a family tradition to get together almost every evening, four of us, on the porch of our house, drink tea and speak about everything and nothing at the same time.

- Mei! Father! Tea is ready. Come down, - I called out. After couple of minutes I heard steps coming into the kitchen.

- We have not done this in ages, - Mei said looking over my shoulder to see what I was doing.

- I know, we should bring this back, - I put a plate of cookies on the tray next to the tea.

Taking the tea and cookies to the porch I saw father sitting on the stairs looking to the moon.

- Hey father, - I said gently trying not to startle him. - I made a tea, I thought we could have one of our tea sessions.

He looked at me with his glossy eyes a sad smile on his face.

- I would love to, - he said turning his gaze back to the moon.

I put the tray on the table and filled the cups with tea. I passed a cup to father and sat next to him.

- Hey, - I said softly to get his attention. He looked at me and I could feel his eyes holding on so much pain and sorrow.

- I miss her too, - I whispered putting my head on his shoulder my vision getting blurry. - But she will always be with us you know. As long as we keep her in our minds and hearts, - my voice cracked a bit.

- I know angel, - he said taking a sip of his tea. - Mm, you made the tea like your mother used to, - he paused for a moment. - Thank you Sayuri.

- You're welcome father, - I smiled a little still keeping my head on his shoulder.

Mei joined us few minutes later. We spoke and laughed for hours telling stories, remembering our past and discussing the future.

"I'm home" I thought leaning on my father and holding my sister's hand.
