Chapter 14: Roller-Skating

"Fine. You look handsome, Stud," I said "Better?"

"Better, indeed," he says

Present:

Y/N's POV:

"We're here," he tells me as he parked, I then unbuckled my seat belt and got out of the car, I looked to see where we were at, we were at a roller rink "I figured that you wouldn't really fancy a fancy old dinner date, so I decided to bring you somewhere fun. You like the idea?"

"Like it?" I asked raising my eyebrows, Billy's face then saddened "I love it!"

We then entered the place and rented a pair of skates. The skates I got were neon green with some pink stripes. I then felt a piece of fabric wrapped around my arms, I saw Billy placing his leather jacket on me, and I smiled in response. Billy then helped pick me up. I slightly tripped a bit. He then catches me from following.

"Careful Sweetie. Don't want you to fall for anyone else," he said giving me a smug look

"Oh shut up," I said, he chuckles, and he then takes me into the roller rink, I haven't skated in a really long time, so I was rusty, I started off slow, Billy slowly let's go of my hand and we started to skate side by side, I then got the hang of it. I then did a little spin

"You got skills?" Billy says catching up to me, I nodded

"Do you?" I asked, he shooked his head no "Do you want me to teach you?"

"You can try," he chuckles, I then stopped

"Here I'll show you," I tell him "You first move one leg backward and then you follow that leg around,"

He then tries, but he then tripped and fell to the ground. He groans as he lies on the floor. I then offered my hand to him, and he chuckles and takes my hand. I then pulled him up, but he then pulled me down.

"Dude...What the fuck?" I asked as I flicked his forehead

"How do you make it look so easy?" he asks, I shrugged my shoulders, I then got up and he also gets up, he then takes my hand and leads the way. His hands were large and rough, but I feel safe. I listened to the music, people chattering, I then looked at Billy looking back at me, and we continue to skate around the rink

Billy's POV:

We continued to skate around and she caught up and was next to me. I looked at her, she was beautiful. I then notice Carol and Tommy entering the skating rink. And they seem to notice us too. They then started to skate toward us.

"Hey Keg King," he smirks at me and sneered at Y/N

"What do you want Tommy?" I asked sternly

"Nothing," he chuckles "I was just wondering are you two a thing now?"

"No," Y/N states "We're just good friends,"

"What she said," I said pointing at her "Now if you excuse us, we have some skating to do,"

I then take Y/N's hand and pulled her towards me. I hear Tommy and Carol scoffing at us from behind.

"Man, I really hate those motherfuckers," Y/N sighed and pushed her hair back

"Same," I chuckled "You wanna get some food?"

Her eyes brightened and nodded her head yes, we then made our way out of the rink and went to order food. I was taking my wallet out but then Y/N placed some money.

"Hey hey. I asked you out on a date, which means I'll pay," I tell her

"You already paid for the skate rental, so I'll pay for dinner," she says as she was then given a receipt, I then sighed happily, and we then sat down at a booth as we waited for our food to be served

Y/N's POV:

My eyes were trailing around Billy. His fingers were tapping onto the table. His curls were really nice looking. I sighed internally.

'Man this guy is an asshole, but I really like him,' I thought to myself, I then see the waitress walking toward us with food

"Here is your food kiddos. Two burgers, two fries, and two milkshakes," she says placing down the food "Enjoy,"

"Thank you," Billy and I said in unison, Billy then grabbed his burger and hummed in excitement, I took my burger and took a bite

"This...This is really good," Billy says 

"It is..." I said having another bite, I then felt something on the tip of my nose, it was whip cream, I looked at Billy who had a smirk plastered on his face, "Come here,"

He leans forward and I pushed his head down to his milkshake. He then gets up and his entire nose. I chuckled, he then chuckled too. I then got a tissue and wiped the whipped cream off his face. And then I wiped it off myself. We then continued to talk about other things in life.

"Mr. Kowalski is a pain in the ass," he sighs

"Maybe he'll be less of a pain in the ass if you paid attention to the math equations," I said slurping my milkshake

"Maybe..." he says swirling his tongue around the cherry "You can help tutor me,"

"Hm..." I thought about it "No,"

"Worth a shot," he says eating the cherry

"It was a joke. I'll tutor you," I snickered and took a fry 

Max's POV:

"It's a monster from an unknown dimension. It's so ancient that it doesn't even know its true home. Okay...It enslaves races of other dimensions by taking over their brains using its highly-developed psionic powers,"

Hopper sighs in an annoying way. 

"Oh my god! None of this is real! It's just a kid game,"

"No it's manual," Dustin speaks "And it's not for kids. And unless you know something that we don't, this is the best metaphor-"

"Analogy," Lucas interrupts him

"Analogy? That's what you're worried about?" Dustin asks Lucas "Fine. An analogy for understanding whatever the hell this is,"

"Okay. So this mind flamer thing-" Nancy speaks

"Flayer. Mind-Flayer," Dustin corrects Nancy

"So what does it want?" Nancy asks

"To conquer us, basically. It believes that it's the master race,"

"Oh! Like the Germans," Steve points out, everyone gave him a weird glance

"Uh? The Nazis?" Dustin asks

"Yeah..." Steve says sounding unsure "Yeah. Yeah. The Nazis,"

"If the Nazis were from another dimension, then totally," Dustin says
