"Well not much... I did a speech at school. I found out my dad has cancer." I looked down when telling him this.
"I'm so sorry Ash. It will be okay though." he said using my Ash nickname again and patting my back. The first time he's touched me.
"Ya I hope so. Why do you call me Ash?" I asked while chuckling a bit. With a smile.
"Well your name is Ashlynn right?" He asked in kinda a duh tone.
"Yeah it's just not a lot of people call me by my nickname, you can still call me that though if you want. It's okay if you do." I said smiling widely.
"Your smile reminds me of my moms." he said smiling wider but I could see some sadness in his eyes behind the smile though.
"What happened to her? I remember you telling me your have no family, so what happened to them? You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to though." I say letting my face go back to my more serious look.
"My mom died from the cold in the winter. I never knew my dad. I was with an orphanage for a while, well more like my whole life. But last year I just got sick of it. so I escaped and decided I would live on the streets. But I still don't know if it was the right decision but eventually they would have had to kick me out within those next few months." Toby said to me as his eyes got bluer. I just hoped he wouldn't cry.
"Have you ever been to school or anything like that.?" I ask curiously.
"Well... this is actually so embarrassing but... I don't know how to read. Or anything like that I wasn't very good at focusing when the orphanage tried to teach me anything. I was always the sporty kid." he looks away and turns red after saying he can't read.
"I could teach you to read if you want. it would be fun and plus you get to come to my house." I offer him and he smiles a little but I see the embarrassment is still there. "Really Toby it's not a big deal. I'll teach you." I say to try to make him less embarrassed. "We're actually going to go to my house right now." I say.
"You don't have to do this Ashlynn. Your barely know me." Toby says and bites his lip at the end. He's dressed in really old and worn pants and shirt but still manages to be hot without even trying.
"I may not know you very well right now... But I do plan to get to know you better and I'm taking you to my house right now." I say more confidently.
"I've never been in a actual house before." he tells me. I immediately feel horrible. I try not to show him that though.
"Well then your definitely coming over right now." I say smiling.
I tell Sarah that I'm taking Toby to my house for a bit and she smiles and says "That's great, call before bringing him back!"

"I've never been in a car before. Can you teach me how to drive?" He says smiling which makes me smile to.
"Let's take it one lesson at a time Toby. Today we'll see how far I can come teaching you how to read and then we will have to see about driving." I laugh and he smiles back. I don't think I've ever not smiled around this boy. No matter how much I'm falling for him I know we're like Romeo and Julliet. I'm part of a family who don't like poor people. He's homeless. He doesn't have parents I do. were polar opposites. Like Romeo and Julliet. But I guess opposites attract. Well at least I hope they do.
