The next thirty minutes went by slowly, I had stopped crying a little while ago but I didn't dare look in his direction. I could tell he was staring at me and the fact made me nervous. I was scared he was going to stand up and try to hurt me again. Thinking about it only made everything worse. I was being unfair to him, I shouldn't have even started a conversation in the first place. He shuffled a bit so I looked up, either my memory of his position was wrong or he's moved closer to me. I couldn't ignore him any longer though so I said the one thing I never thought I would say to him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, I just... it was the truth and I needed to get it off my chest, I just didn't mean to say it yet."

I don't think that was the right thing to say, but it was an apology nonetheless. He stared at me for a bit, evaluating my response, I was bracing myself for what he was going to say in case it escalated again.

"I know, and I'm sorry as well." His voice was barely above a whisper. "It was a reaction, a dangerous one that nearly killed you, I'm so, so sorry."

Neither of us spoke for a bit after that, when he stood up though, I mentally panicked. He walked over and sat about an inch or two away from me. His movement was terrifyingly silent, if there was a thought of me escaping him then there definitely wasn't one now.

I don't remember falling asleep but when I woke up it felt like someone had played Podrins hockey with my spine. I looked over and saw that Crucian was still sitting in front of me but his back was against the wall near my feet, he was still asleep and looking a lot more comfortable than I felt. He looked devastatingly beautiful, his long lashes resting against his cheek. I sighed loudly and pushed off the wall, accidentally bumping him with my foot, he stirred a little bit, it wasn't much of an issue for me though, I was going to temporarily wake him up anyways.

I climbed onto his lap and made myself comfortable, he shifted a little bit but wrapped his arms around me dutifully.

"What are you doing...?" He mumbled, still half asleep. I snuggled in closer.

"Just be a good bed and shush, they don't talk, they don't move and they provide heat, you're only accomplishing one of those things at the moment."

He sighed before making himself comfortable underneath me. When he finally stopped moving I fell asleep easily. I felt my magic return just as I was dozing off, I didn't want to get up though. I might still be furious and afraid of him but he was the only source of warmth and comfort in this awful room, t was also one of the only times we haven't fought over something stupid so I was going to drown in the temporary bliss of his gentleness.

I woke up in a completely different room, still in Crucian's arms, I looked around the room with blurry eyes from the recent sleep and noticed that we were in his room. If this whole thing was a dream I was going to throw hands, Crucian might be the victim. I looked at him while he was still asleep, I didn't want to disturb him, he looked so peaceful. Lmao you thought. I blew in his face, he pulled back like a cat would and rubbed his eyes.

"Are you serious Bramble? Go back to sleep for a bit." He said grumpily whilst turning onto his back, I rolled my eyes and climbed on top of him so I was straddling him.

"We aren't in that room anymore, I mean if it even happened, did someone come and get us?"

"No, I woke up about an hour after we both asleep, my magic was back so I bust the door open and carried you to bed, then I went and shared a few words with Krais before coming back up here for a nap, so, I'm going to get back to it, you can leave if you want just don't jump on me."

I stared at his closed eyes for a bit before laying down on top of him, I felt the soft brush of his tail as I slid my legs into a comfortable position. He opened his eyes and stared at me for a bit before wrapping his arms around me.
