People drifted through Jax's head. Most of them seemed somewhat familiar, no not familiar, just he felt like he knew them. It was too hard to tell as he couldn't get a good look at most but some of them looked strangely akin to family and friends. None of them Jax could fully make out it was as if their faces were barred from view by some unseen deity. He only realised as he stopped focusing on these people, that his surroundings weren't vaguely resemblant to anything he knew.

As he traversed across this otherworldly land distorted beyond recognition, he couldn't help but feel uneasy. Green barked trees with pink foliage seemed to randomly pinprick this landscape. He could see other islands in the distance layered with dirt, stone then the pink grass growing like a carpet of moss over the sides. The beautiful yet distant islands almost seemed like doughnuts. A pink starred sky swept overhead. Slow realisation crept over him as the island in space seemed to grow shorter and shorter as he flew until it was a mere circle barely a kilometre wide. He looked up and saw himself.

Almost as if a mirror had been reflecting everything in sight the landscape was flipped. As he glided towards himself he noticed that the reflection copied his every move. Every little movement of his eyes to the gentle gliding movement he made with his hands. He tried to reach out but suddenly felt stiff;like cold iron chains had slithered all around his body, slowly constricting his every movement. The boy with his face leaned over with an almost curious expression. Half-smiling, with an expression that conveyed the fact that it had no clue why it was smiling, it outstretched its own hand. Jax began to panic his mind racing for possibilities. His nostrils flared and filled with the ungodly scent of smoke. The boy's hand came closer and closer, creeping ever nearer. It was now adjacent to his face. Closer still, Jax felt cold slimy fingers flowing over his face sinking in , creeping into his orifices. Then... a blaring sound broke the blood-curdling silence. He woke.
