Gaara and rasa were now in the village hidden in the leaf, upon entry people seem pretty happy it was a really big village and seem to have ninja's at watch.

"Gaara why don't you take a look around while, I talk to the council and hokage about our stay" rasa said, Gaara nodded and left he took a look around.

Stores and restaurants here and there, it seemed pretty normal except for the fact almost all of the people there were glaring at a little blonde boy (naruto).

One of the store Clarks pushed naruto down as others started throwing rocks at him.

Gaara's eyes widened and rushed into action, using his sand to wrap around naruto gently as he seen some bruises and cuts here and there and brought naruto to him keeping him in his sand as he seen naruto had passed out.

"What is going on here?" gaara questioned angrily, he can't believe this village was ok with abusing such a young child he looks to be around his age.

"Hey give that demon back were not done with him" a store clarks said.

"How dare you speak to me like that, do you not know who I am you filthy goons" gaara yelled.

"We don't care who you are, you're probably some street rat" a villager said.

"I'm the son of the kazekage and I can tell my dad not to sign a peace treaty with you so when you guys are in danger on the brink of death, you won't expect our village for help" gaara said calmly yet you could hear the blood lust in his voice.

The villagers started panicking, they had just insulted the blood of the kazekage, they instantly got on their knees.

"No we're sorry we didn't know"

"Please don't,"

"Forgive us"

Was what all of them said, Gaara didn't listen and just walked off to the hotel him and his dad would be staying at.

When he laid naruto down on his bed, he observed him.

'nothing out of the ordinary from any normal kid, what makes him a monster?' gaara thought confused.

'kid, I think I know who that is'

'what who?'

'i can sense it he's the holder of the nine-tails, he has the nine-tails sealed in him'

'the nine-tails, interesting'

'whats more interesting is tht he's your mate or soulmate is what most call it's

'what do you mean'

'i mean he's your mate, life-time lover, all us tailed beast can tell who's our holders mates are'

'but I just met him, sure he's super adorable but'

'you're staying here for some years get to know him you don't have to have him as your mate yet, geez you are really dense'

Just then naruto woke up, he quickly sat up when he realized he wasn't laying on the uncomfortable bed he was forced to sleep on.

He looked around and seen a scary looking red head staring at him "you're awake that's good, are you ok?" Gaara asked.

"Yes i'm fine, um what happened?" Naruto questioned.

"Some villagers attacked you, I was able have my sand get you before they did worse" gaara explained.

"Thank you"

Naruto smiled a bit "i'm naruto uzumaki"

"Gaara"

"Well thank you gaara, anyways I better be on my way then"

Before naruto could leave Gaara grabbed his wrist "wait maybe you should stay the night, i'm pretty sure those villagers want to finish what they started and if you're alone they will most likely do that" gaara's voiced laced with worry.

Naruto was hesitant, not sure if gaara is actually saying that so he could hurt naruto without witness but if he was kind enough to save him in the first place he might as well put some trust in him.

So he nodded and laid back down, Gaara laid on the other side of the bed facing naruto's back.

If shukaku was telling the truth he had to protect naruto no matter what it took, if naruto really was his life-time lover then he had to make sure naruto was happy.

He mentally sighed, he didn't know what to do in his village everyone avoided him so he never experienced what it was like to have a partner before.

So taking things slow should be fine but how will naruto take it finding this out, would the nine-tails tell him.

Gaara fell asleep not wanting to overthink things.

With naruto he was nervous this is the first person besides shikamaru and choji who ever wanted to hang out with him.

As naruto went to sleep, he noticed everything was a dark moss green and black and there was giant bars.

He knew what this was he's been here before when he was 4 and the villagers nearly killed him.

'hey kit long time no see'

'kurama what is it?'

'this kid I wasn't really paying attention until now but I can sense it'

'sense what?, What are you on about'

'the one tails, shukaku he has it sealed in him'

'so he's like me'

'yup but there's another thing'

'what?'

'he's your mate'

'exuse me, my mate?!'

'yes we tailed beast can sense who our holders mates are so they don't fall in love with the wrong person'

'*sigh* I just met him I don't want thing's to happen so quickly so I should probably befriend him first'

Naruto was taken out of his mind scape and fell asleep, he was sure kurama was telling the, kurama may hate humans but if something was to happen to naruto it would also affect kurama.

But he was only 6 he didn't want anything happen so soon, at such a young age.

With that in mind finally fell asleep, not trying to wrap his head around all of this.
