She was stunned
Gulf was speechless
Mew cursed himself for the situation

After a few minutes Mew broke the silence .
"Auntie.."
"Get out" Gulf's mother cut him before he could say anything.

Mew tried again
"It's not what you think...

"I SAID GET OUT! "

Gulf flinched at his mother's tone. He was brought out if his trance.
Mew was taken aback too. He looked at Gulf.
Gulf realised there was nothing Mew could do in this situation. He calmly asked Mew to leave

Mew was however unsure what to do. He had put Gulf in this situation. He wanted to be by his side. To face the wrath of his parents.
But Gulf assured him with a nod and motioned him to go.

Mew thought it would be best to do as Gulf says. He couldn't leave without clarifying with Gulf's mother though.

"Please don't blame him. It's my fault" saying that to Gulf's mother, he left the house.

Gulf could see his mother was very disappointed.

"I did not expect this from you Gulf.
Let your dad come home and then we will talk about this" she left the room.

Gulf facepalmed and groaned in his pillow

Surprisingly, Gulf was rather calm. 'This was inevitable' he thought to himself. But was his love strong enough for him to rebel. Was he having second thoughts?
If he had to choose between Mew and his parents what would he do?

Gulf spent entire afternoon thinking to himself and waiting for the dreaded discussion.

Currently Gulf was sitting in front of his very disappointed father and mother on a chair

No one was speaking anything but only glances were shared.

Gulf cleared his throat.

"Mom. Dad. I know you are disappointed in me. But I can't help that I am in love with him. He is a decent guy, very good student. Please give us a chance" this was all Gulf could come up with since afternoon to put up his case. And he said it all at one go.

He was now patiently waiting for verdict. Expecting something in return from his father.

"How long?" His father asked with a straight face.

'This is going good ' Gulf thought to himself

"More than 2 years", he answered promptly

"Is he your classmate? How come I never seen him before " his father further enquired

"He's my senior at the university. He will graduate in two months. But we don't meet each other at university often we meet at his brother's cafe" Gulf realised he should stop his rumbling

"His brother knows about you?"Father raised an eyebrow

'Idiot' Gulf cursed himself mentally.

"Yes " he said looking at the floor. He couldn't look into his father's eyes anymore

"His parents too know about you?"

Now Gulf really felt like he betrayed his parents
"Yes " he said in a very small voice.

"Call him to meet me now"

Gulf looked at his father surprised. He was not expecting that his father would call Mew to meet.
He was really scared for Mew now. What was his father thinking. Did he want to hurt Mew. No! He can't let that happen
