Set in 2022 inspired by Christine's new album release and interviews, check them out if you want to see where I got the inspiration

Christine was trying to get comfortable in front of her TV, pulling a blanket up and leaning back, she couldn't help smile softly when she thought about how long she'd had that blanket for, since doing several interviews, she felt nostalgic, about many of the ups and downs and her romances over the years and she tried not to feel alone as she reached for the TV remote that was on the side table beside her along with a cup of tea, shocked when her phone started to ring.

She reached for that instead, even more shocked when she saw it was Stevie calling, it had felt a lifetime sometimes since they talked and other moments it felt a few hours, she instantly felt a flutter of excitement but also worry, why would Stevie bother to suddenly call when she'd basically seemed to forget she existed whenever she pleased, however Christine still answered fearing someone had died or something drastic must have happened for Stevie to call out of the blue "Hello?" Christine said, trying not to sound overly warm and happy, it saddened her sometimes how she seemed to talk more to John and Mick than the woman who had been her best friend, bandmate and many other things over the years the storm of Fleetwood Mac raged on.

"Hi Chris!" Stevie said, glad she answered, she'd actually felt guilty after reading the interviews and hearing Christine's new album, behind Christine's humour she sensed she was lonely and thinking a lot, honestly Stevie had longed to talk to her for ages but hadn't made the time, she used that excuse to herself anyway, people had seemed to convince her feeling guilt was a bad forbidden thing over the years and now with so many people humouring her she felt no one was honest with her and just treated her more of someone who shouldn't even have feelings and should just be some type of deity that pleased them and guilt was a wasted emotion, even if sometimes the guilt was deserved, she knew she shouldn't have basically seemed to ghost her bandmates and ex-lovers over the years but it had been so normalised in comparison to her career and sometimes she knew that was a wrong move especially when reality seemed to give her a wake up call that time didn't stop ticking and abandoning or ignoring people did hurt them more than it would hurt her career if it was the other way around.

"Is everything alright?" Christine couldn't help but ask, she couldn't believe how shy Stevie seemed to be sometimes starting conversations.

"I just read your interview and have been meaning to call, you released a new album!" Stevie said broken out of her thoughts, trying not to sound saddened she hadn't called sooner after hearing Christine's voice, it seemed to break her from her bubble.

"Oh yes that, I tried to do my best even though I really dislike interviews and all that, some questions are so stupid but it was encouraged I do some for the new album and considering I want people to hear it, I actually tried to promote it a bit!" Christine said with a chuckle, more of a slightly nervous one though, considering some of, well a lot of the songs on the album had been written about Stevie, she felt shy she had heard it even if deep down she had wanted her to, maybe she had hoped Stevie would call her after hearing it, but she wasn't going to admit that, she didn't need anyone, at least that is what she told herself, she honestly had tried to never want anyone again, they always seemed to leave, even just emotionally and after times she had built her lives around partners, they had shattered it and she'd been the one left like a ship without an anchor in the middle of the ocean trying to get by, though she would never admit that.

"You did great, I'm glad you remember more of the good times than the bad ones, I'm also sorry about your back, I tried to google more about Scoliosis but I accidentally did something to my phone, technology is so annoying sometimes!" Stevie then giggled then feeling shy again, she knew she was probably acting too invested, admitting worry googling about what Christine had said was wrong with her back as it wasn't like Christine to ever admit much especially about her health in interviews so Stevie figured it must be severe "I also hope you write a book!" Stevie added, even though she feared slightly what Christine would put in it if she did.
