Savage walked around her office a bit, sighing and thinking, as only the thuds of her boots and her computer can be heard in the room. The best part is that she can think in peace and quiet, as she looked over at the massive TV-screen in her room, which showed the map of Great Bavaria, having lost a lot of ground. After all, this isn't her office. This isn't even her HQ. She stopped and shuddered as the door opened without a knock. She quickly looked over, looking mad, before calming down and just opening her mouth, not having enough time to say her first word...

"Oh... Why are you breaking into my room like that, Nitro?"

Nitro stepped inside, with an eyepatch and more of a kept bob made out of his hair, he smiled.

"Sorry miss..."

She came over to him, fixing his collars a bit as he smiled proudly, and gave her a file...

"Heh, has anyone taught you to knock before you come in?"
Magnolia said that as she calmly took the file, looking at the title, and then putting it away, full attention at Nitro.

"Yeah, sorry about that... I kinda forgot this time."
"It's quite alright. After all you are getting better at this entire ordeal."
"Thank you, miss!"
"Oh please, just call me by my name."
"Is just "sis" fine to you?"
"Hey, why not. So, how are you doing?"

Magnolia came to her desk, putting the file aside and sitting on it a bit, as Nitro responded, relaxing his stance a bit.

"Hey, I'm doing great actually. Despite what happened a month back I'm uh..."
He looked a bit serious for a moment... and then sighed out...
"Yeah, I'll be fine, no worries sis."

Magnolia just smiled calmly, and replied soon after.
"He really shaped you around didn't you? I'm sure the old man would be proud of you - because I sure am!"

Nitro blushed a bit from the compliment, being left shocked from those words...

"H-Hey, you actually mean it?"
"Well duh! Look at you now! All proper and... you have experience from the best there... ever was..."
As Magnolia finished her sentence, she looked down a bit, looking like she got lost in thoughts...

"Hey... Heeey? You good?"
"AH?! Ah, oh, yeah, yeah."

She quickly woke up after Nitro leaned in and waved in front of her face. She looked a bit embarrassed, but that embarrassment quickly turned into slight sadness.
"Yeah. I'm fine thanks... It's just... I can't believe we lost them so easily. I can't believe only you and Saiga made it out..."

Nitro looked down a bit, remembering what happened.
"Yeah. I... tend to not really think about the bad things that happen so often. It's bad for you after all. Hey, look at the brighter side. We're gaining better control of our grounds ever since our budgets got pumped and war fatigue wore out. Soldiers are at their highest motivation levels yet, and our performance has been drastically improved. Instead of consistently losing ground, we started gaining again!"

Magnolia sighed a bit, smiling and looking up at him.
"Man, he still didn't hit that optimism out of you has he?"

Nitro grinned, nodding.
"Of course! That's how I pulled Saiga out of there in the end... Didn't give up and always relied on your ability to command our guys properly, y'know?"

Magnolia nodded... then she looked at his eyepatch and asked.
"Hey, did you actually lose that eye?"
"Oh, this old thing?"
Nitro pointed at his eyepatch, and answered.
"No, of course not. Well, it doesn't matter anyway... I think I'm gonna be getting a new prototype prosthetic eye soon. I was picked as one of the first to receive em!"
"Oooh, lucky you! Can't wait to see you with both eyes again."
"Thank you. Well, I'll be relying on your glorious strategic mind while we're here, kay?"
"Thank you, but flattery won't get you anywhere with me."
"I know, skill DID give me this rank though."
"Heh, proud of you. Anyway, you should get going. Unfortunately we can't chit chat at this hour."
