Qingqiu said the name without thinking, but when he saw the other move to get out from behind the counter, he turned around and run as quickly as possible outside the restaurant.

What he was doing there? He should have been still in prison. He run the fastest he could, but he suddenly felt his arm being pulled with so much force he nearly fall back. He tried to struggle against the grip without turning. He knew perfectly who was stopping him.

"Do I disgust you so much that you can't look at me?!" his tone was cold, but he could feel the disappointment in his voice.

Qingqiu felt a cold shiver traveling on his back. He was firm in his decision of not looking at him, but not because he felt disgusted.

He felt guilty. So guilty that he started feeling nauseous.

How could he look at him in the eyes? He was the reason he got convicted. He ruined his life.

No matter how much he wanted to not look at him, he could do nothing against the other's strength, and with a single pull, he was turned, facing all his fear.

"Say something goddammit!"

What could he say? Sorry, I sent you to prison?

"How- What are you doing here?"

Great start, Shen Qingqiu

He still couldn't look him in the eyes and decided that the dirty sidewalk was a good point to stare at. He was such a coward.

"What, surprised I am a normal person with a job and not a serial killer?"

"That's not what I meant I-"

"Look at me!"

With that loud reprimand, Qingqiu looked up, more out of reflex than out of the will. He felt awful and the nauseous feeling kept creeping up until he thought he would have vomited any minute. They stared at each other for a while, Binghe never leaving his arm, in the fear he would have left again.

He had to say something, there was no way out of here anyway. Wei Wuxian was gone from his mind while running away, but he came in full force when he saw the other red ribbon in his hair. He had priorities and he could not waste precious time because of his fears.

He needed to face them full force.

"I am sorry."

Binghe widened his eyes and pulled his arm again, this time to bring him into a hug. Qingqiu expected a hit, a punch, anything really but a hug from the other man. He was so shocked he couldn't even move and stayed still like he was made of wood.

He became aware of the situation only after hearing the other small sobs on his shoulder.

"I looked for you when I come out. I asked around, but nobody knew where you were, shizun."

The detective slowly put his hands on the other's back, patting him gently.

"Don't call me that, it was dumb even in high school." He said, sighing slightly.

Qingqiu felt a bit better now that he was sure Binghe did not want to kill him. The taller man kept crying his eyes out while hugging him and he started getting conscious of their image. Looking around there were just a few passersby, but he could feel eyes on them. It had to be a strange scene for sure.

"I think we should go back to the restaurant and talk there. We are making a scene."

Binghe responded by looking at him with red and puffy eyes and grabbing his wrist, nearly dragging him back to the restaurant.
