As the day went by the heroes slowly but surely began to tell the stories about their adopted children's biological parents and the VKS were very divided on it. Some were happy they knew but others felt extremely guilty for the actions their parents have done, Mal being one of the ones that felt the most guilty.
Mal sat on the royal balcony looking out into the stars, complicating who she is and why her mother is the way she is. Aurora opened the balcony doors and walked out on the balcony to Mal.
"Supper's ready." Aurora said gently.
"Not hungry." Mal replied.
Aurora sighed. "You know what your mother did isn't your fault right?"
"I know but...I just can't help but feel guilty anyways. MY mother put a curse on you! No wonder why your mother doesn't like me." Mal said as she started to cry.
"You know...your father and I could've adopted any other villain child from the isle..anyone but we choosed you because we took a look and just knew you were the one. The fact of the matter is your just the daughter of a horrible woman. Your father, your sister and I love you very much despite of this, even though your grandmother, aunt and cousin don't. You are apart of our family Mal and we would never change you for the world."
Hearing these words from Mal made her feel slightly better, she did afterall had a wonderful childhood growing up with Aurora, Phillip, Audrey and Stefan and she was able to ignore Arianna, Briar and Leah for the most part and had friends who always stood by her no matter what.
"Thanks Mom." Mal said smiling a bit.
"Of course Mal. I''ll let you have as much time as you need." Aurora said smiling back before walking back into the castle. Mal leaned on the railing and picked a pink rose and twirled it around when sparkles appeared and Flora, Fruana and Maryweather flew towards her.
"Hey guys.." Mal said.
"Hello my child. So Im guessing you learnt about your family heritage today?" Flora asked.
"Yeah and it wasn't the easiest for me to face." Mal replied.
"I'd bet." Maryweather mumbled.
"In spite of your mother's abhorrent actions she has committed, we don't see that wickedness in you my dear and we are happy to be your godparents." Fruana said.
"Well Im trying to tell half my family that but anyone that isn't Mom, Dad or Audrey still treat me like Im a horrible monster! Its not fair." Mal complained.
"How could someone treat a child like this? Im astounded and thats not a good thing." Laura said in a disgusted tone.
"Did by any chance your grandfather intervene?" Flora asked.
Mal and former king Stefan had a mixed relationship over the years. Stefan was never cruel to her like his wife and younger daughter and granddaughter, but would stay neutral and wouldn't take sides and would if necessary scream to try to get the entire family to stop arguing.
"He never directly stood up for me directly but he did show me kindness over the years, you seen some examples of it, and when the family is arguing he would try to take control of the situation not calling out anyone in particular but just try to control the conflict. But I do know for sure he loves me unconditionally like my parents." Mal explained.
"That is nice. We will confront them about this. This isn't acceptable and I refuse to stand for it." Flora promised.
Mal nodded. "Thanks Flora."
"Of course." Flora said before all three fairies waved their wands and teleported away. In the living room everyone else all gathered together; Aurora, Phillip, Flora, Fruana, Maryweather, Stefan, Leah, Briar, Briar's Husband, and Arianna.
"We need to have a serious family discussion. Im done being nice. You all need to be ashamed of yourselves. Half of you bullied a innocent child for years because of something that isn't her fault. I am so incredibly disappointed in you, especially you Arianna because I know you can be better then this." Aurora explained.
"Actually I shouldn't have to explain myself and why my actions are justified. Mal is a purple fairy freak who does not deserve to live here." Arianna said in a snarky tone.
"I have never seen such offensive and abhorrent behavior from any other child in this family." Flora commented.
Phillip glared at Briar who was doing her nails and essentially ignoring accountability. "So Briar...when do you plan on actually being her parent and not her best friend?"
Briar scoffed. "Excuse me?? Who do you think you are to speak to me in that tone?!"
"I absolutely love the entitlement, I definally tell who got the golden treatment growing up." Phillip snarled. Briar turned to Aurora angry.
"Do you see the way your husband is treating me?!" Briar asked growing more angry.
"Yes and he's finally holding you accountable and telling you to be a fucking parent and punish your child!!" Aurora said raising her voice.
"I don't see why raising voices is necessary." Leah commented rolling her eyes.
"Well being calm didn't exactly work!!!! IS THIS BETTER?!!!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW?!!!!!!" Aurora screamed.
"What exactly has Arianna done wrong exactly? I don't get it." Leah asked. Aurora finally snapped.
"YOU ALL COMPLETELY LOST THE PLOT!!!! ARIANNA HAS KNOWINGLY BULLIED AND HARASSED OUR DAUGHTERS EVER SINCE SHE WAS VERY VERY YOUNG!!!! AND NEVER ONCE WAS THERE A SHRED OF ACCOUNTABILITY FROM AN OF YOU, NO PUNISHMENTS, NO SCOLDING, NONE!!! WE HAD TO BE THE ONES TO PUT OUR FOOT DOWN AND PUNISH HER WHEN CLEARLY HER ACTUAL PARENTS WERE MORE INTERESTED IN SPOILING THE BRAT!!!!!" Aurora vented, finally releasing the anger she's been holding in for years. Briar stood up and got in Aurora's face.
"DON'T YOU DARE CALL MY DAUGHTER A BRAT!!!" Briar shouted.
"OH REALLY??! BECAUSE THATS EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS!!!!" Aurora shouted back. Audrey curled up and covered her ears, starting to cry. Fruana guided Audrey out of the room.
"EXCUSE ME BUT YOU WILL LEARN-" Briar ranted until being cut off by Phillip. "YOU WILL NOT TREAT MY WIFE THIS WAY!!!!! IS THAT CLEAR?!!!" Then Briar's husband stood up and got in Phillip's face.
"DON'T YOU TALK TO MY WIFE THIS WAY!!!!" Briar's husband shouted.
"YOU DO NOT WANNA GO THERE, I CAN ASSURE YOU." Phillip threatened.
"GODDAMMIT!!!" Stefan shouted. "Have you all no shame?! What have you done to this poor girl?? May I ask what has she done to deserve this?? This is not how a family treats each other."
Briar stood up and stormed out of the room with her husband and Leah right behind her.
