The girl that worked with Steve

Max peered around the corner and signalled you to come over. You went in front of her and saw Steve. He was trying to flirt with girls again. He was extremely attractive but his flirting was disgraceful. You had a crush on him in middle school but did not like him anymore, even though everyone still did.

The two girls he was talking to walked away while laughing. Yep, he still can't flirt for his life. You walked in, "hey Harrington, I haven't seen you since middle school but I see you still suck at flirting," you say while looking him up and down. Steve looked up from what he was doing to make eye contact with you. "Y/n?" He excitedly asked. "Yes it's me, Steve, miss me?". He smiles "yes, I did" He runs up to you from behind the counter and you do your handshake.

You and Steve's handshake was something you made when Steve was 14 and you 13. You had been waiting to do it again with him since you first left Hawkins. You missed him very much but didn't want to admit it.

Once you had finished, you see the prettiest girl you have ever seen sitting on the window ledge. How was you meant to order while this hot girl was in front of you? ."Hey Steve," you whispered. "Yeah?", " Is that cutie Robin?". You say while looking at her. "Oh yeah, Robin this is y/n, y/n this is Robin". Robin looked up. You looked into her pretty blue eyes as she walked toward you. God you love her already."Hey, I'm a robin," she says while smiling at you. "Nice to meet you I'm y/n, I've heard so much about you," you say while winking at her. Robin blushes slightly "Y/n" Steve angrily whispers. "Oh sorry, Stevie". You say while smiling at him. Robin smiles to herself.

"Anyways, how did you get here Harrington? You were so popular in middle school." You say. " I'm still popular, you just became more popular and are not working in an ice cream shop with a sailor outfit" He smiles sarcastically at you. You laugh at him. You turn around to see Robin staring at you, she quickly turns away. You blush, Steve was right, how could you not have a crush on her? She was beautiful.

"So, I heard you are in a magazine." Steve asks you. " oh yeah, you've seen it?" Steve pulls a magazine out from behind him and shows you. I've kept it since it came out" Steve says while smiling at you."You look amazing," Robin nervously says while staring at you. You meet her eyes, "thank you my love" You say, smiling. You turn back down to see the magazine. Steve quickly puts the magazine back and turns back to you. Robin made you so nervous already, you were already hiding your face because you were so nervous.

"Are you gonna show your amazing ice cream scooping skills or what?" You say smirking at him. "Coming right up" he replies. "So what are you doing here with Max?" Steve asks while scooping up your ice cream. " we became friends when we were both living in California, we lived next to each other" Max said. "Yeah, I just couldn't get away from her," you say as you nudge Max's shoulder. Both of you smile.

"Money please?" Steve says. " There you go" you give him the cash and put $30 in the tip jar. Steve takes out the money " that's not just for you dingus" Robin says annoyed. "Yeah Harrington it's not just for you, sharing is caring you know." You say while smiling at Robin. She smiles back at you while she puts the money back in the tip jar. "Thanks," Robin says. "Anytime". "Why don't you come in the back?" Robin asks. "I'm guessing as a customer I'm not supposed to be here", you say " and you would be correct, just don't tell anyone," Robin says while winking at you. Did she just flirt with you? She was probably just joking. Your face goes a slight pink,
Robin notices and laughs.

You walk into the back and grab a chair to sit on. You put your ice cream on the table and sat down. You realise your shoelaces are undone and quickly do them up, then you feel as if somebody is staring at you. You look up to see Robin looking at you while you do your shoelace up. Maybe it's because you had a lot of rings on?

You loved wearing rings, mostly because a few of them were important you or was gifted. You never take your rings off really. Not only did you love rings but you loved necklaces, watches, bracelets really anything silver. Your type of jewellery:

You keep doing them up while looking at her. You could see how pretty she is now you could freely look at her for a minute. Her eyes were a very pretty blue and she was wearing silver chains that fell effortlessly around her neck. Her hair looked perfect on her and fitted her face beautifully. How could someone so amazing live in Hawkins. You should've moved back sooner!

After a minute, Robin realised that she was staring at your hands and quickly looked up. "What?" You ask. She looks at you, "I didn't say, anything weirdo". You look at her lips and back up to her eyes again. She turns her head away from you quickly, hiding her flustered face.

After sitting and catching up with Steve, you realise the time. Your father was picking you up in 10 minutes. "Holy shit, is that the time already?" You ask looking at your watch. "My dad's gonna kill me," you say while you get up and grab your stuff. "Already?" Max complains. "Yes, you know my dad doesn't like me being out late" you reply while rolling your eyes. You get up off of your chair "y/n?" You hear Robin say to you while everyone was saying goodbye to each other. "Yeah?" You say, turning round to see her. "I'll see you at school," she says " yeah will do," you say as you wink her at and then leave with Max. "Bye y/n!" You hear Steve saying from the back. "See ya"

You and Max both walked out of star court, "I saw that", Max said while looking at you. "What?" "I saw you wink at Robin, you should've seen her face, it went bright red!" She says. Phew, she didn't mind that it was a girl. "Oh really? I wish I saw it" you reply. You both laugh for a second as you see your dad pull into the entrance. "Hey sweetie" you hear your dad say from his car. " alright, see you!" "Yep see you at school tomorrow" Max replies. "You jump into your car and start driving off.
