"Hu T-Tao?" A light tap hit Hu Tao's shoulder, the voice was rather cutesy and high-pitched.
"Aiyaaa...what's up?" A familiar face appeared in front of Hu Tao. The other girl squeaked, she looked as if she had seen a ghost.
The woman in question had jet black hair that was somewhat bobbed in the front, and platted into an up do at the back, her eyes were a vibrant yellow with a somewhat golden tint to them. Other than her shiny smile the most noticeable feature about the girl is her little companion friend, 'Guoba.'
"Xiangling? What are you doing up this late?"
Hu Tao raises an eyebrow. As told by her oversharing father, Xiangling is usually out like a light by dusk."W, well my dad was running a bit low on ingredients so me and Guoba decided to go scavenging for them!" Xiangling was pretty renowned in Liyue not only for being Chef Mao's daughter but for holding the title of, 'Best chef in Liyue.' Despite holding that grand title she was scared of the young Funeral Director herself.
"That's rather kind of you...I've heard Liyue has been going through a bit of a meat shortage as of late," Xiangling seemed to have calmed down, her eyes shifted from terror to curiosity, she looked like a deer caught in headlights.
"Ah yeah, there has been. Some businesses are struggling at the moment but thanks to my dad, Guoba and my vision, Wanmin Restaurant is doing just fine!" A sugary sweet smile decorated Xiangling's rather small face.
"That's good, but you're still a young girl so being out at night is rather dangerous. Ghost and ghouls love the souls of young women such as yourself~" unlike before Xianglings lips became upturned, a soft laugh escaping her pink lips.
"If some sort of monster was after me they would have caught me by now! And even if they did I'd fight back with my vision and cook them up to taste!" Xiangling placed both hands on her hips, she stood like a champion who had won a gold medal, Guoba followed also striking a pose. Both the girl and the bear held unwavering confidence.
"Ehe is that so? Well have a rest of your night Xiangling~" Hu Tao could feel her grin growing cheek to cheek.
"Mhm, I'll be off now!" Xiangling turned, smacking her head into a rock-like entity, her beady eyes unable to properly analyze the figure.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Hu Tao could've sworn she'd gone a bit deaf from the screech, however, she was too busy cackling like a witch to pay any mind to the slight hum in her ears.
"Well hello miss Xiangling, what are you doing up so late?" There stood the tall man of the night, Zhongli. Global waved at the man whilst the younger girl stood to the side looking like she'd ran a marathon.
"Hello, old friend," Zhongli waved back to the small creature, it was uncharacteristically sweet of him, Hu Tao's face seemed to melt, and a disgusting feeling in her stomach grew.
"Mi, Mister Zhongli, I'm sorry for screaming like that," Xiangling tucked her cheeks into her hands.
"Was Miss Tao telling scary stories again?" Xiangling looked up her face still looking blushed.
"She did, I wasn't scared until she played that trick on me. Hu Tao, I'll get you back for this! I'll do the meanest prank yet just you wait!" Xiangling had seemingly recovered from the scare, but she now seeks revenge much to Hu Tao's delight.
