Tamia was slightly nervous, she knew that she shouldn't be but today Chrissy was going to see Eddie to buy drugs from him. She had left her girlfriend in the hands of Eddie once she left school to do her shift at Hawk's, earlier in the day she noticed that Chrissy looked spooked by something but Tamia didn't want to bring it up during the middle of school so she vowed to ask her about it later when Chrissy comes over tomorrow since it was Saturday. "Get your head out of the clouds Nelson!" The Manager Mr. Reid shouted from his desk, she rolled her eyes slightly before she started to wipe down the counters. His office was positioned to the side where he could see everything going on, especially if he had the door open just like he has it now.

She placed the dirty rag in the sink and started the popcorn maker, Tamia stood up straighter to look in Mr. Reid's office and noticed that he was gone so Tamia smirked as she grabbed her walkman from her bag which she had played behind the counter, she slipped the headphones on and started her mixtape that she custom made.

Tamia grabbed her bag from behind the counter and started to walk toward the ticket booth of the theater and took a seat, they rarely had any more customers, Mr. Reid thought because of the tragic fire of Starcout Mall last year that they would see a rise in moviegoers at Hawk again but they haven't. They get maybe 5 customers a day if that, Tamia knows that more people will be renting videos from Family Video but Tamia doesn't care because she gets paid either way. Tamia grabbed her homework from her bag and started to pass the time, she placed her homework on the little desk in front of her.

She grabbed her pencil and was about to start her homework when she saw someone walk into the movie theater, Tamia tried to hide her surprise as she slipped her headphones around her neck. She could faintly hear Underground playing through them. "Two tickets for Pretty in pink please." Tamia nods her head as she hands her classmate Vickie and some guy that she was with the tickets after taking the money.

She watched as they walked away so she slipped the headphones back on and grabbed her pencil to start working on her homework. Tamia sticks the end of the pencil in her mouth as she finds her thoughts drifting towards Chrissy and Eddie again.

Tamia was anxious, she knew that Eddie wouldn't do anything to harm Chrissy but her concern was with the fact that Chrissy needed the drugs, she wondered what happened that it got to the point that Chrissy needed them. Chrissy told Tamia some truths but Tamia could always tell that her girlfriend was holding something back like she wanted to tell Tamia something but when she looked like she was about to, she stopped herself.

Tamia was also worried that they wouldn't get along, Eddie and Chrissy are her two favorite people in her life minus her parents so it would be devastating if one of them didn't like the other. After Tamia realized that she wasn't going to get any work done in between the worrying she sighed as she dropped her pencil back into her bag along with her homework.

She knew that it would be a crumbled mess by the time she got home but it was nothing that her teachers weren't used to with the mess that is Tamia Nelson. Tamia pushed some hair behind her ears as she adjusted the headphones, she noticed that she was tapping her fingers on the desk in front of her which was a nervous habit she picked up. She thought about getting up and calling Chrissy or Eddie but she wasn't allowed to make personal calls at work so she had to wait until she got home but she couldn't help but feel this pit in her stomach that something is wrong.

Tamia takes a deep breath and tries to push the feeling down, it's all in her head she tells herself. She scoots the chair back and gets up before walking over to the drink machine, and gets herself a coke. She leans against the counter as she sips it, her eyes drift towards Mr. Reid's office, and finds that he's back in his office sitting in his chair with the door open but he's paying attention to the paperwork on his desk so Tamia wasn't going to get written up for listening to music on the clock not like she cares.

She walks back towards the ticket desk and takes a seat, she places her drink on the table and leans back in her chair. Tamia lifts her legs and places her feet on the desk. Her hands are clasped around her stomach and she closes her eyes smiling as she's listening to Take On Me. She was halfway through the song when her headphones were yanked off. "Hey!-" Tamia started to say as she sat up quickly opening her eyes, she gulped when she saw Mr. Reid standing in front of her with an unimpressed look on his face.

"I told you no more music during work hours, just because it's not packed to the brim doesn't mean you can slack off." Mr. Reid explained, Tamia pressed her lips together holding back her retort as she nodded and pulled off her headphones shutting off her walkman. "I'm sorry sir, it won't happen again." Tamia lies knowing that she most certainly will do it again because she has nothing else to do in Hawks.

"An Eddie Munson is on the phone for you, I thought I told you no personal calls." Tamia's heart stops when Mr. Reid tells her who's on the phone. "He wouldn't call if it wasn't important." Tamia gulped as she stood up and pushed past Mr. Reid to grab the phone with shaking fingers. "It's Me," Tamia whispered into the phone turning her back to her boss. "I'm so fucking sorry Tamia, I didn't want this to happen. I don't even know how it fucking happened? I think I must be high? That must be the reason." Eddie talks fast on the other side of the phone, and Tamia's brows furrow as she listens.

"Eddie, you aren't making sense." Tamia calmly explains to Eddie who was starting to sniffle on the other side. "Chrissy's dead."
