it had been a year since yoongi's injury. 365 days since yoongi lost the ability to do what he loved most.

it was a horrible day for him. first of all, he had slept 3 hours at most at night because he kept thinking of all the memories of the accident and when he did manage to catch a wink of sleep, he had a nightmare.

he had cried basically all night, clutching his knees and wanting someone to be there for him. he didn't  contact anyone for help though.

he threw on some jeans and a hoodie for school, he wore his glassed because putting in his contacts didn't sound appealing. he really just wanted to stay home.

his lip wobbled as he walked to school, he tried so hard to not cry. he didn't want to see anyone.

he set his head down when he got to school, namjoon sat next to him soon after, "hi hyung, how are you?" he asked, but no answer as expected.

"i know today is hard but you'll make it through, i believe in you" namjoon smiled, yoongi slightly nodded his head although he didn't agree.

soon enough, the bubbly voice of park jimin appeared next to his ear, "good morning, yoongi hyung! it's raining later, did you remember an umbrella this time?" he smiled, yoongi didn't look at anyone and shook his head.

"well, thank me, i brought you one" he said, yoongi turned his head up and looked at the boy, taking it from his hands, "thank you"

"hyung, why is your face puffy?" he asked, yoongi ignored him and put the umbrella in his backpack, "is everything alright?" he asked, yoongi nodded.

he was still wearing a sling per his physical therapist's request so everything was a bit more triggering than usual.

"you're oddly quiet" jimin said, yoongi sighed, "i'm fine"

yoongi cried in 4th period as library aid, he just couldn't help it, "it's alright, yoongi" he mumbled to himself, wiping his tears, luckily no one had come in.

well, maybe he spoke too early because there came in park jimin with a huge smile on display and a book in hand, he bit his lip not to cry more.

"hi jimin-ah, can i help?" he asked, taking the book jimin placed on the counter, "i need to return that book" he ssid, yoongi checked it in and nodded, "anything else?"

"why are your eyes puffy?"

yoongi sighed, "do you have any concerns regarding library books or what the library has to offer? the computers are there if you need to do anything technology related" he said, jimin hummed, "not library related, just a bit worried about why my pretty hyung has been crying"

on a usual occasion, yoongi would smile and blush but today he wished his stare could burn jimin to the ground, "i will be calling your teacher if you're here to just waste time. that is considered skipping and you can serve detention for that"

jimin backed off, "wow pretty boy, i'll leave. what has you in a bad mood today?" he laughed, "leave" yoongi said through his tears, quickly wiping them.

yoongi hid in a stall during lunch. of course, namjoon found him. he knew yoongi better than yoongi knew himself.
