"i want to try new foods" jimin told his therapist, he picked at his nails because he was scared to make eye contact with him, "that's a great thing, jimin" he smiled, "why have you decided to make that a new goal?"
the boy hummed, "my basketball teammates always invite me to eat out with them after games and i always say no and it makes me feel really bad. it's also just want to get back to the foods i used to enjoy" he said. he felt safe with his therapist. his therapist was just graduate and young so he understood jimin.
"i think that's awesome. how will you go about this? what coping strategies can you use?" he asked, jimin grabbed a stress ball that the man had in a small bucket filled with fidget toys.
"uh, i can use distractions to think about other things. i can use positive affirmations" he said, squishing the purple stress ball that was filled with orbees, "positive affirmations are really good, jimin. it can help you gain confidence and i really want you to focus on that"
jimin nodded, he wasn't a huge fan of positive affirmations but his therapist still made him do them.

"what's wrong?" yoongi asked, seeing jimin had his head down before class had started, "i'm really hungry" he frowned, "did you eat breakfast?" yoongi worriedly asked. what had happened for park jimin to be hungry at nine in the morning?
the small boy slowly nodded, "what about dinner last night?" he asked, to which the boy nodded again, "i don't know why i'm so hungry" he frowned, feeling his stomach grumble.
"do you have extra food?" yoongi asked, jimin shook his head again, "i feel really bad that i'm so hungry even though i ate breakfast" he mumbled, yoongi looked through his backpack for food, but found nothing.
"don't feel bad, jimin. it's a common thing in eating disorder recovery and your body is just replenishing itself" the boy reassured, grabbing some money out of his backpack, "go get something from the vending machine"
"thank you hyungie" he smiled, giving yoongi a tight hug. the small boy nodded and jimin left to buy something from the vending machine.
—
"where's your lunch?" jimin asked when they got to the cafeteria, "i gave you my lunch money" he said, the boy gasped, putting his hand over his mouth.
"why didn't you say anything?" he asked, a frown on his face, "i don't know" he shrugged, "wow, that's true love" namjoon said, setting his tray of food on the table.
yoongi laughed, but jimin was still frowning, "i feel bad, hyung!" jimin said, "it's okay, i'm not that hungry. i'll eat after school" he reassured, "fine" he huffed, but he felt incredibly guilty.
—
jimin complained to his dad about how guilty he felt to have stolen yoongi's lunch money, his dad was a great listener.
"it's okay, jimin. you didn't know. how about to make up for it, you take him on a date somewhere to eat. you said you wanted to try new foods" his dad mentioned, jimin hummed and nodded, "that's a good idea"
the man nodded, "yup, i'm filled with great ideas jimin" he said, jimin rolled his eyes, "sure, like the time you gave mom a vacuum for your anniversary and she got mad"
"she had been asking for it! i don't know why she got mad!"
