Its been a few days since Drake got settled at the base.
You tried to get to know his but he was so distant.
Not that he didn't want company but he just isn't very social.
He's so quiet.
Yet peaceful.
Its strange finding people from pirate crews and they're not hostile.
But in the end, Drake is still a child after all.
You even wondered if they mistreated him.
He did have a few bandages on when you first met him after all.
You wanted to help him feel alittle more comfortable but he just won't budge.
He does respond to simple yes and no questions, but to ask him how he's feeling.
You'll probably need to be alittle more patient.
You didn't mind it.
It took you a while to come out of your shell when you first joined the marines too.
So you know what its like to be out of your comfort zone.
But you hoped in time he will open up to you.
"(Y/N).."
You turn around and saw the Commodore leaning against your doorway.
You rolled your eyes as you turned your attention back to the window in your quarters as you took another sip of your tea.
You- "I'm off duty for the night....anything you need, wait until tomorrow..."
He chuckles.
Kirk- "I'm not here to talk about work.."
You mentally groaned and placed your cup on your desk.
You- "Then what do you want?"
The Commodore sighs as he enters the room.
Kirk- "Listen....I know you don't like me....and I know I can be a bit too much to handle."
You rolled your eyes at his words.
Kirk- "But I would like to turn a new leaf."
You turned and raise an eyebrow at him.
Kirk- "Considering that we will be working together from here on out."
You scoffed and looked towards the window again.
You- "Do as you please Kirk...but I am NOT interested in being your friend..."
The Commodore chuckles as he sits on the chair across from your desk.
Kirk- "Why do you hate me so much?"
You ignored his question.
Kirk- "I have not treated you unfairly since you've joined...."
..........
Kirk- "I have shown you nothing but respect yet you refuse to give it back..."
..........
Kirk- "Ever since the day you got your Devil Fruit abilities you have been awfully cold towards everyone..."

Kirk- "But more so towards me.."
