Andrew couldn't sleep, no matter what he tried. "I have my eyes on someone." The conversation replayed in his head like a vinyl record, with no end.

Andrew could not understand why those words hurt as much as they did, but he hated it.

His phone is blowing up with texts and phone calls from Kyle, asking if he is okay.

Sighing, Andrew picked up his phone and tapped call. "Hey Andrew, I was just about to phone you," answered Tris. "Hey, I'm happy to hear that you are thinking of me. Before you say whatever you want to say. When you come back from holiday, can we meet up? I need your advice."

"Yeah... sure. I'm only going to be home later tomorrow, though. Maybe we can go for ice cream?"

Andrew, now sitting cross-legged on his bed, answered, "Perfect. How was the holiday? I hope you did nothing I wouldn't do."

"I would never, and besides, when you say it like that, it leaves me open with a wide variety of options!" laughed Tris.

The two were talking until the time read two in the morning. After which, each said goodbye and hung up.

Laying back down in his bed, Andrew decided that he'll read the texts that Kyle sent him. "Andrew! What happened???" "Why did you run away??" "Are you okay?" "Stop ignoring me!!" "I know you can see these. You're always on your phone" Andrew felt quite attacked by the previous statement. 'I'm not always on my phone,' he thought.

He replied with a simple, "I'm fine. Don't worry." Somehow typing that sentence hurt much more than he expected, but he shrugged it off, put his phone down, and went to bed.

Later that morning, the screams of his alarm again awoke him. To say that he was tired is a severe understatement. 'Note to self, going to bed at two in the morning is not a good idea when I have to wake up at six.' Getting up, he got up and readied himself for the day.

"Andrew, are you driving with us? Kyle is picking me up, and I don't think you want to walk to school on a Friday." Andrew's heart immediately dropped. He hasn't spoken to Kyle since yesterday after he ran away from him. "Um... It's fine, don't worry. I enjoy walking." He hastily replied. 'I'd rather deal with this later,' He thought.

After getting ready, he quickly made his way downstairs when he got greeted with a note from his mother saying, "I was called in for work as soon as I got home. There are some takeaways in the fridge. ~ love mom."

He grabbed his burger out of the fridge and started eating it. "Are you sure you don't wanna come with us?" Asked Jake, Kyle following behind him. Andrew's mouth went dry, causing him to cough with a mouth full of burgers. "He's coming with us, don't worry," stated Kyle.

The two made eye contact, and Andrew could see a hint of anger and hurt in his eyes. He gave Kyle an apologetic face, though he didn't know why. "Okay. Let me finish my burger and get my bag. Then we can head out." Stated Andrew, quickly finishing his meal. After washing his hands, he quickly ran upstairs to fetch his bag.

Kyle's POV

Looking at Andrew running upstairs, I thought it was a perfect time to confront him about yesterday. "Jay, I think I left my football jacket here. I'm quickly going to go look for it." Jake replied with a hum and nod of his head, too distracted on his phone to care.

I quickly went upstairs and made my way to Andrew's room. "Andrew, can I come in?" I whispered-asked, knocking on his door. I heard a bang and a small "Yeah" from the other side of the door. Opening the door, Andrew greeted me, seated on the floor, rubbing his head. Hastily making my way to Andrew, I asked worriedly, "Andrew! Are you okay? What happened?"

"I'm fine. You just frightened me." Replied Andrew, taking the hand that I offered him. "Why are you here?" "Listen, cupcake, why did you run away yesterday?" His face immediately went red, and I knew he was flustered.

"I just needed some air." He replied, looking away from me. I gently took his chin and turned his face back to me. "Stop lying to me. I know something is up. Is it something that I said?" Andrew was now looking into my eyes and replied, "I promise I'm fine."

"Kyle! Andrew! We need to leave now! School is starting in, like, ten minutes!" Jake shouted from downstairs. I decided not to push the situation any further, but I stated, "Please don't run away like that again. I don't enjoy losing what is mine."
