I saw Hogwarts in a dream and knew it was there that I would die. Don't ask me who I am and how I know this, for I, myself have no clue. I only remember barely waking in the cold, merciless wind that nipped at my bare skin as I lay in the dirt. I groan, my hair flying in every direction and goosebumps forming on my milky white skin. Only a faded, moving light in the distance gave me hope. Will someone find me? Will someone give me protection? I only cling to the small bit of hope that I can have in this merciless wind. I try to yell out, but only a whimper escapes my lips.

My hand closes around a vine that pulls away from the ground as I grip it. Gravity nags at me and my face meets the cold, wet dirt. My throat itches with thirst and hunger; it feels as if I had had both for days on end.

The slight whisper of wind tickles my ear, "Go to the castle... Avenge me..."

I gasp, barely looking behind me to find no one there. Suddenly, warmth finds my shoulder and I hold it there with my hand making impact with another's hand. I only faintly hear a muffled yelling.

A light shines and I squint my burning eyes, not used to the warmth or the lucency.  A large sea of warmth covers me as my vision fades, only being able to see a slightly sickly looking woman with pale white hair. I would have focused more on the details had I not been blacking out at the time.

When my eyes open once again, I find myself clothed in warm blankets and a nurse looming over my bed. The ghostly woman seemed to disappear as quickly as she came.

"Oh dear..." she says, her finger tapping her chin as her blue eyes stare back at me.

I close my eyes and shake my head firmly, "Wh-who are y-you...?" I barely moan.

She smiles, resting a soft hand on my forehead, "A fan of the Alice and wonderland literature, are we? I'm afraid you are no caterpillar and I am no Alice. I must say, though, that you might have fallen down a rabbit hole. Which one I cannot say."

"E-Excuse me?" I reply, dazed and confused.

She pauses her meddling with my gauze and smiles, "There I go babbling off again, I never even said my name! I am Lillianne Weasley. I'm one of the nurses here at this school. No pressure or anything, dearest, but do you have a name?"

I look up to her caring face, "I-I don't know... All I remember is waking up naked in the cold..." She furrows her brow at my answer, "I'm sorry... I wish I could tell you more..."

"Oh, don't worry about it! All you need to worry about is getting your rest! Yes?" she smiles reassuringly, pulling the warm blankets further up on my body.

I cuddle up, slowly drifting off into sleep, suddenly, a word whispers through my mind repeatedly. It haunted my dreams and I had no thought as to why. It seemed as if a thorn in my mind, a possessive theme over my brain.

I slowly open my groggy eyes to natural light that caresses my face and the first urge I had was to murmur, "Obliviate..."

"What was that, dearest?" Lilly looks at me with interest.

I shake my head, for some reason feeling uneasy about telling the woman what I said, "I was just waking up, my memory is... Incredibly hazy. I'm sure I was just dabbling along about a dream or something." I hesitate, a voice at the back of my head, telling me to stay quiet. She appeared disappointed as she was wiping the dust off variously shaped bottles. "Sorry..."

"For what, Alice? You've done nothing wrong," she winks and places a plate of bread on my lap. I scarf it down like a ravenous beast and smile up at her, "Ah now there's a pretty sight. A smile suits you a lot better than the furrowed brow you have generally plastered to your face!"

My smile disappears, "I wish I could continue to wear it, but it's a little disturbing, you know; Being in the dark, that is..."

She furrows her brow, "It's okay, dearest, no one expects you to recover in a day, it takes time, like aging fine wine!"

"I certainly hope it is not that long," my amused voice not hiding from experiencing her gloating of her skill.

"Well if it does it probably means I'm not doing my job! Anyways, speaking of recovering, take this, it will help." She pours a rancid liquid from a skeleton bottle into a glass. She hands it to me, my hand shakily retrieving it. I bring the glass to my lips, hesitating before pouring the horrible liquid on my tongue.

The nurse laughs at my grimace, "Dont worry! The sour taste will go away after a while."

The cover falls away from me as I put the glass back on the table. I blush, noticing myself revealed and pulling the blankets up to my collar bone.

"Don't be embarrassed, dearest we all have the same parts, it's not as if I haven't seen that before! If it really bothers you I have clothes for you to change into."

I notice the folded clothes at the foot of the bed, "That would be nice..."

She nods, walking out of the large stone doors. I look around at the empty room with white beds that remain made and those bottles of medicine don't even have a speck of dust on them. I slide my feet out from under the covers, grabbing the clothes. First I pull on the undergarments, immediately feeling comfort by the support. Apparently I didn't have such luxuries so simple as undergarments. I sigh, and looking down at my clean skin. I pull on the black tank top and dark washed jeans, sitting back down on the bed.

A faint voice comes from behind the doors, "Have you finished dressing?"

"Yes..." I mumble, but the nurse seemed to hear it, so the doors open with a creak. The nurse walks in with her flowing, white dress, her hair glowing orange compared to her outfit. She holds a black cloak in her arms, "Now there is a certain something we need to check before we can allow you a home at this school. You see, people who attend this school have special traits."

I look at her, "What do you mean... Special traits?"
