Undercover

Intro/Summary-- Eddie goes undercover to help bust a sex trafficking ring. She and Jamie know the risks but Jamie has never been more terrified. He tried to talk her out of it but since she had been assaulted a few times, she wanted to help save other young girls. Finally it was the day of the operation. Eddie would be wired and had headphones and a tracker but Jamie was still a nervous wreck. Will the operation go as planned or will it be too late?

        Jamie was shaking as he helped Eddie get dressed to go undercover. They were basically sending her away to be kidnapped.
"remember this is your tracker. Keep this on, please" Jamie begged as he adjusted the necklace
"I know Jamie" she said
"Jamie you're shaking" she said
"sorry" he said
"I... I just would never forgive myself if you got hurt" he said
"Jamie this was my choice okay? I have experienced what these young woman are going through. My time in college? Where I was drugged and stripped naked? That was only for a short period of time. Last year, Jake Singer? One night. Jamie these young girls are tortured every day! Imagine if that was me" she said
"I get why you're doing this but-" he said
"I'll be okay" she said
"besides I have you watching over me" she said
"be careful. Please" he said
        They hugged each other for a good amount of time and then they had to separate. They went to the corner where young woman had been being kidnapped off the street for the last few months. Eddie took a deep breath as she stood and waited and tried to flag down a white van. It took a while, but it came.
"need a lift honey?" a woman asked
"please. Anywheres fine" Eddie said trying not to sound nervous as she glanced over at the car where Jamie was hiding
"get in" she said
"I'll need your purse. Make sure you won't try to kill me and my partner for helping you" she said
"why would I do that? You helped me" Eddie said
Eddie didn't get to answer. She just got a slap in the head for "talking back" and her bag was thrown out the window. As soon as that happened Jamie, Danny and Baez sped up to get closer to the van. Jamie's heart was racing.  

"what's you're name again girl?" the woman asked
"Edit Marie" Eddie said
"I'm Tatiana" she said
"so why'd you run away?" Tatiana asked
"stupid parents wont let me date my boyfriend" Eddie lied
"ah I'm sorry. Parents can be a pain" Tatiana said
       The white van stopped in an old motel parking lot and Jamie watched as Eddie was dragged out of the car by her hair and shoved through a door
"we need back up now Danny!" Jamie said
"relax kid. Eddie knows what she's doing. We have back up coming" Danny said
"anything can happen!" Jamie said

        Eddie was stunned when she got inside. Girls walking around in their underwear, many men with guns and knives. A large man took a hold of Eddie's arm and she was thrown into a small room
"take your clothes off" he said
"why?" Eddie asked as a chill ran down her spine
"you know why. Take them off before I rip them off" he said
"What's your name?" he asked
"E-Edit, people call me Eddie" she said
There was a pause as he looked Eddie up and down and she tried not to look scared
"wait a minute... I know you" he said
"sorry?" Eddie asked
"you're a cop!" he said
"No I'm just a girl" Eddie lied
"you lying bitch! You work with that Raegan kid! You're here to kill us all" he said
"who?" Eddie asked as her heart rate was now through the roof
"dont be naive. Everyone in New York city knows who the Raegan cops are" he said
"Even if Raegan does come to save you- you won't be in one piece after we're done" he said
       The man left and Eddie felt herself having a panic attack. She tried to think of an escape but the room was dark with no windows. She paced around, scared of what was coming next. Come on Jamie. She thought knowing he would save her.  She was still pacing around when the door opened. Three men now appeared and Eddie froze.
"lets see how tough this cop thinks she is now!" one laughed as he approached her
"No please! You have the wrong girl! Please!" Eddie cried
"get her clothes off" one said as he held her arms behind her back
      Eddie tried to fight which resulted to a belt hitting her face. She screamed out in pain as the three men pinned her to the bed
"you think you can outsmart us you stupid bitch!?" One laughed
         They were getting her pants off and she tried to kick one of the guys but that resulted in him choking her
"please" she cried
"cuff her to the bed" one said
"no! No!" Eddie cried
       A thick chain was wrapped around her wrists and tied to the headboard. Now half naked Eddie thrashed around on the bed and screamed. WHERE THE HELL WAS JAMIE!? She realized her necklace had been torn off, which was her hidden tracker. She closed her eyes and waited to die.
"please just kill me if you're gonna kill me" she begged
"no way! We're having fun with you first" one of the men laughed as he ran his hand up Eddie's inner thigh
        As the three men undressed themselves, Eddie tried to prepare herself for the pain that was about to come. She tried to close her eyes and think of the good times she had with Jamie. She was crying hysterically and begging them not to hurt her. They'd ripped her blouse open, exposing her black bra.. Now she was in nothing but her panties and bra. She felt one of them try to spread her legs, and she kicked him which resulted into more smacks from the belt. There was a loud bang and everyone froze. Maybe it was Jamie. Maybe he found her
"POLICE NO ONE MOVE! GET ON THE GROUND!" it was Danny
"lets finish her. Someone block the door" one man said as he held Eddie down
"EDDIE!" it was Jamie
"EDDIE CAN YOU HEAR ME!?" Jamie screamed again
"JAMIE! JAMIE!!!!" She tried to scream but one of them covered her mouth
"EDDIE IT'S ME!" Jamie called out again
        They managed to put tape over Eddie's mouth to keep her from screaming. Finally as the one man got on top of her he started to peel her underwear away, but the door was broken open
"GET ON THE GROUND! GET ON THE GROUND! GET AWAY FROM HER!!" Jamie screamed
"GET AWAY FROM HER!" Jamie screamed as he shoved his gun in the mans face who was on top of Eddie
        Danny and Baez arrested the three men and Jamie ran to Eddie who was shaking in fear
"Jamie!" She cried as he gently took the tape off her mouth
"I got you, I've got you. You're okay" Jamie said
       He got her hands freed from the metal chains but her wrists were cut up from where she had been struggling. As soon as she could sit up, she collapsed into his arms
"shhhh, I've got ya. I've got you Eddie. You're safe" he said
"they... they recognized me. They knew I was a cop" she said
"shhh. It's okay, you're okay" he said trying to calm her down
"lets get you to the bus. Can you walk?" he asked her
"I don't know" she said
"come here. I've got you" he said
      She was still crying as Jamie carried her downstairs to the bus and covered her half naked body with his coat. She was holding onto him for dear life and barely let go enough to be treated by the paramedics
"please don't leave me" she said
"I won't. I'm right here" he said holding her hand
"sweetheart can you tell me what all hurts?" The emt asked
"everywhere" Eddie said
"Eddie, did they... did they hurt you?" Jamie couldn't say the word rape, but Eddie knew what he meant
"no. They wanted to though. If you had been any later they would have" she said
"alright Raegan she's in pretty bad shape. We're loading her now" the emt said
"I'm coming. Don't worry, you're not alone" he said as he jumped in the truck

       Eddie winced in pain as they tried to dress her wounds. The alcohol stung and they had to stitch a few of the deeper cuts shut.
"shhh, you're doing good Eddie" he said holding her hand
"it hurts" she said biting back her tears
"I know. Just squeeze my hand okay?" Jamie said
       They rode to the hospital and when they got there Eddie had to change into a gown to get an exray and CT scan to make sure she didn't have any internal bleeding or brain injuries. Although Jamie couldn't go with her he waited for her.

Eddie came back in a wheelchair about an hour later.
"hey" he said as he sat beside her 
"you were right. I shouldn't have done this" she said
"hey we saved those girls Eddie. That was the goal right? And I will hold your hand for as long as you need me too okay?" he said
"I was so scared Jamie" she said
"shhh, come here" he said
Jamie was sitting on the bed with her and she was laying on him. They stayed like that for a good hour as they waited for Eddie's test results to come back
"Edit Janko?" A doctor said
"Eddie. Hi" she said as she sat up
"your tests results came back and there's no internal bleeding or broken bones. As it appears no head injuries either since you took a few blows to the head. Your ribs are bruised and you have a concussion but nothing more serious then that" he said
"thank you. When can I go home?" she asked
"shouldn't be too much longer. Let me get the paperwork going" he said
     Forty minutes later and Eddie got the paperwork to fill out and Jamie took her home. The ride home was quiet but Jamie didn't push her to talk
"I'm gonna take a shower" she said as shep unlocked her door
"want me to order in any food?" Jamie asked her
"not right now" she said
"wow you're turning down food? Are you sure you're okay?" he asked her
"I'm okay Jamie. I just... need time to process everything" she said
       Eddie went to the bathroom and turned the water on first as she stripped off her bloody clothes. She let the water run to hide her sobs as she cried. Eddie had never been more terrified in her life. She knew what she was signing up for being a cop.... but now having been almost raped twice and almost beaten to death
       She got out of the shower and was still crying. Her bruised and broken body ached. Jamie must've still heard her because he knocked on the door
"Eddie can you let me in?" he said
"I'm fine" she said wiping  away her tears
"Eddie" he said
         She had her towel wrapped around her body when she opened the door
"I... I heard you crying" he said
"sorry" she said
"hey don't be sorry. You just went through a lot" he said
"I want to get get dressed but... can you just hold me and stay here tonight?" she asked
"yea I wasn't planning on going anywhere" Jamie said
       It was late after Eddie had gotten dressed and she finally ate some dinner. She picked st the food mostly but Jamie made her eat something.

They laid in the bed together and Jamie just held her, gently rubbing her back and telling her she was okay
"thank you for saving me" she said
"I'd die for you Eddie. You know that" he said
Eddie smiled as she held onto Jamie and tried to close her eyes to get some sleep after a long hard day.

So after watching 5x18 I always love when Eddie kicks a** and 99% of the time Jamko makes it out okay, but what if there was ever an operation that didn't go right?
