Jamie and Eddie 'Jamko' One shots

Big Life Changes

Intro/summary-- All Jamie can remember hearing is the loud gun shots and Eddie's loud scream as she falls down the stairs. Jamie forgets the situation he is in and just runs to her. After ripping off her bullet proof vest he realized how bad she's been hurt. He quickly strips off his own jacket and tshirt to try and help soak up the blood. Eddie cant speak but shes crying and holding onto Jamie.
When they arrive at the hospital will they be able to save her or will it be too late?

Jamie freezes in his tracks when he hears the loud gunshots go off. He hears Eddie scream and she's falling down the stairs
"EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE!!" Jamie ran to her and got on the floor and instantly ripped off her vest
Eddie was gasping for air and reaching for Jamie's hand
"Ja--Jamie!" she cried
"I'm right here" he said
Once he got her vest off he felt the blood covering the lower part of her stomach. He had a knot in his throat about the size of a golf ball and he wanted to be sick
"Jamie I'm scared" she said
"shhh, I've got you okay? Just hold my hand" Jamie said
Jamie held her hand and with the other he ripped off his own clothes and tried to stop her bleeding. There was so much blood
"SHES BEEN HIT! SOMEONE CALL A DAMN BUS!" he yelled
"Eddie don't close your eyes. Eddie look at me" he said
"Jamie" she said as she tried to gasp for breath
"Eddie open your eyes!!" he said almost crying
"WHERES THE BUS!?" He screamed
"It's coming" an officer said
"come on Eddie, breath! Breath!!" he said
"Eddie can you hear me!?!?" he asked
"Eddie!!" he cried
"no please!! No!!" he yelled
Eddie had closed her eyes and her hand went limp in his and he could no longer find her pulse so he rapidly began CPR.
"Come on Eddie stay with me!!" He said
"Eddie!!!" He was crying and screaming her name
       The paramedics showed up and had to pry Jamie away from her so they could hook her up to the proper machines and put the gel pads on her chest to restart her heart
"please! She's my partner! You've gotta save her! Her name's Eddie!" Jamie cried
"sir please step back so we can help her" an EMT said
"Eddie? Eddie? Can you hear us?" An EMT asked her
"charge 350" he heard an EMT say
"no pulse. Charge them again!" The EMT said
"come on Eddie!" Jamie said
       He turned to see her laying lifeless on the ground as the paramedics tried to bring her back. The machines loud ring which meant no heart beat was piercingly loud
"charge one last time" they said
"we've got a pulse! Lets stabilize her and move!" they said
"do you want to come officer Raegan?" An EMT asked
"can I? Is she okay?" Jamie asked
"we got her heart started again but shes losing blood fast. She'll need a transfusion for sure and an ultrasound to check for internal bleeding or punctures" she said
"can I sit with her?" Jamie asked
"of course" she said
They had managed to get Eddie into a gown and had her down to just her underwear and a dressing over the wound. Tubes and IV's and sticky pads covered her body. Jamie sat beside her and held her hand
"come on Eddie, fight. Fight for me" he said
"sir, when you're ready how well do you know your partner? Can you fill out this form?" an EMT asked
"sure" Jamie said
He filled out the form with Eddie's full name, height, birthday and where she lived and he signed it at the bottom. The ride to the hospital seemed to take hours, but it was maybe ten minutes.
"what do we have here?" a doctor asked
"female police officer- Edit Janko. Thirty years old. Five foot four, one hundred and thirty pounds. Shot on the job and had to have CPR from her partner and her heart restarted on the scene" the EMT said
"Eddie. You can call her Eddie" Jamie said
"sir please wait out here while we work on your partner" they said
"Eddie!" he cried
He let go of Eddie's hand and started nervously pacing.
"lets get this ultrasound!" he heard a doctor say
"she has a collapsed lung and is bleeding internally. Lets rush her to the OR" One said
"where are you taking her? She's my partner!" Jamie said as they hurried out of the room
"your partner has a collapsed lung and internal bleeding. She needs surgery" the doctor said
"she'll be okay though right?" Jamie asked
"we will do everything we can" he said
