Jamie and Eddie 'Jamko' One shots

Loose Lips

Intro/Summary-- After Eddie is kidnapped, Jamie is able to rescue her and save her. Even though she says they never touched her and just wants to go home, he insists on taking her to the hospital and staying with her for the night.

(based off of episode 5x5 when Eddie gets kidnapped)

They both sat on the ground out of breath. Eddie was clearly shaken up as she was shaking in Jamie's arms. He had managed to free her from the tape that they'd used to restrain her.
"you wanna try to stand up?" Jamie asked after about twenty minutes
"okay" she said
"hold my hands, I've got you" Jamie said as he stood up
Jamie pulled his partner to her feet but she was still shaky
"I'm gonna call a bus Eddie" he said
"Jamie I'm fine, they didn't touch me and I'm not broken. I just want to go home" she said
"Eddie please don't argue with me" Jamie said
It took twenty minutes for an ambulance to arrive and Jamie rode with her
"what's your name?" An EMT asked
"Eddie Janko" Eddie said
"I'm Officer Janko's partner, Jamie" he said
"what happened?" the EMT asked
"we've been on this case for a while. A domestic turned violent, guy killed his girlfriend then came after me for trying to help her- then not long after he kidnaps Eddie. We got her back a few hours ago, he was heading into a garage. When I found her in the backseat she had tape on her mouth, her hands, around her legs" Jamie said
"and did they touch you in any way, Officer Janko?" the EMT asked
"no but they probably would have if they'd gotten me alone in that garage" she said
"did they harm you at all during the kidnapping?" the EMT asked
"the one guy punched me a few times, they took my phone away. I guess the one guy Russel did get a thrill out of groping me" she said sort of disgusted
"but things didn't go any farther then just groping? Did they force you to do anything you didn't want to do?" the EMT asked
"no" Eddie said
"we'll get you in for some exrays to make sure nothing's broken. You seem okay but that's the adrenalin in your system. You've just been through a huge ordeal whether you realize it or not" the EMT said
They got to the hospital and took her in in a wheelchair, Jamie close behind her. She changed into a gown and then she was sent off for exrays. Jamie paced the floor as he wore a hole in the carpet. He tried drinking some of the horrible hospital coffee but he only made through half the cup.
"Officer Reagan, your partner's back" a nurse said
"so how are the results?" Jamie asked
"she does have a mild concussion and a few broken ribs. I suggest she doesn't stay alone tonight" she said
"I feel fine. My side is sore but I'm fine" Eddie kept snapping at the doctor
"Eddie you aren't fine" Jamie snapped back
"when can I go home?" Eddie asked
"in just a short while. We'll get started on the paperwork" she said
"can I get dressed?" Eddie asked
"sure" they said as they shut the door
"you know Eddie you don't have to be a hard ass all the time. People do care about you. I care about you" Jamie said
"just turn around Reagan and let me put my clothes on" she said as she rolled her eyes
       Jamie faced the corner of the room and Eddie put her clothes back on. She always hated wearing the hospital gowns.
"I'm dressed" she said
           Jamie turned back around and Eddie was sitting on the table, impatiently waiting for the Doctor to come back
"please tell me you aren't actually staying with me tonight" she said
"you heard the Doctor you shouldn't be alone" Jamie said
"I won't kill myself, I don't need a baby sitter Reagan" she said
"it's more like you have a concussion and broken ribs. If you were to pass out no one would know until morning" he said
"fine but you're getting the couch" she said
"I'm fine on the floor as long as I know you're okay" he said

       It was almost another hour before the Doctor came back with her discharge papers and Eddie was getting antsy end impatient
"just sign these and this is your copy to take home" he said
"you two take care, and thank you for your service" he said
"thanks Doc" Jamie said
"I'm starving can we get some take out on the way home?" she asked
"sure. Whatever you want" he said
"maybe some pasta?" she said
         They did a pick up at a small Italian diner a few blocks from Eddie's apartment. They ate their food quietly. Eddie wasn't honestly really sure how to feel. Or course she had been scared today. When the guy grabbed her and she saw two other guys who were six feet tall, she wasn't sure what was going to happen too her.  She just didn't want to admit that she was scared. Her side was starting to hurt as well now that the adrenalin had worn off. She went to stand up to take her dishes to the sink and she grabbed her ribs
"owww, geeze" she said
"hey take it easy. I've got clean up duty, just sit down" he said
"can you bring me a few advil? Top cabinet to your left" she said
"yea sure" he said
"how did you find me today?" Eddie finally asked as she took the pain medicine
"Danny found you. He called right after our call went out. He told me where you were" Jamie said
"well thanks, for saving me" she said
"you're my partner" Jamie said smiling
      Jamie finished the dishes and Eddie took a shower.  Jamie had changed out of his uniform and bullet proof vest and was in his tshirt and boxers for the night. They spent the evening watching tv. He knew Eddie was a tough ass most of the time but he also knew she'd realize it eventually how close she came to being seriously hurt.
       It was late and she was falling asleep on his shoulder. He let her sleep for a while but was going on midnight
"Eddie" he said
"Eddie" he said gently waking her
"it's late we need to go to bed" he said
"Jamie" she said
"yea?" he said
"Can you lay with me tonight? I... I don't want to be by myself" she said
"sure. Come on" he said
        They went to the bedroom and he laid beside her, holding her close to him
"thanks for saving me Reagan" she said
"I would save you every time, in a heartbeat. You know that. I just hate that you still went through what you did. I know you must've been scared" he said
"it wasn't too bad until they shoved me in the car. I didn't know what he was planning to do to me. Rape me, torture me, kill me..." she said
"hey, shhhh. It's over now and you're okay" he said
"lets try to get some sleep. It's been a long couple of days" he said
        Eddie curled up in his arms and he held her. He was gently stroking her arm to get her to relax. He ran his fingers through her silky blonde hair as well. She had finally fallen asleep in his arms. He stayed awake with her for a while and then he fell asleep.

      hey guys, this is a super short one but I always wondered how Eddie was after she got kidnapped in 5x5. I feel like they rob us of so many good Jamko scenes. You know Jamie would've taken her to the hospital and at least driven her home.
