You sighed in relief as the plane successfully touched down. You were finally here in freaking Canada of all places to watch your girlfriend Demi, perform. Sure you had seen her show plenty of times before, but that was nearly always from the side of the stage- and this time, you wanted to really experience what it's like to see her concert from a fans point of view. Plus, you did kinda want to surprise her because after all, she didn't know you were coming.
Passing through the airport was a breeze. You had collected your single bag from the luggage claim thing and made your way to the taxi rank without a single bump. You didn't have many clothes because you could only stay for a couple of days, but that was enough for you. Just to see her face in real life instead of over a screen was enough.
The moment you settled into the cab, you flicked your phone off of flight mode and was immediately bombarded with texts and a missed FaceTime call. Oh she had to be pissed right now, you thought to yourself as you read over the several messages asking where you were. You had never missed a call from her before, and you knew she got stressed and slightly agitated when you did.
The cab driver quickly dropped you off at the hotel you knew she would be staying at, as told to you by Nat, her assistant, whom you had sworn to secrecy. As much as you wanted to run and see her, you knew she was completely packed with concert preparations and would most likely already be at the arena, somewhere where you needed to be in the next hour and a half if you wanted to see the show.
You dumped you stuff onto the floor of the room and set your phones alarm before hopping into the completely luxurious bed and relaxing for a moment. You had spent a large chunk of your savings on doing this, but seeing her was going to be worth it.
45 minutes later and you sprung out of bed with a smile, shutting off your blaring alarm and tossing your phone to the bed. The excitement filled your veins like a drug, and you couldn't wait to see her face.
Demi had tried to call you again while you were napping, something you felt extremely guilty for missing. You quickly readied yourself for tonight though, oddly nervous but extremely thrilled. It was just your luck that for this concert, and this concert alone, that due to a halt in the set up of production, the meet and greet wasn't going to be until after the show had finished. Something you were most definitely attending.
Just as you put the final touches to your hair, you phone beeped once again. This time though, a text from Nat.
'She's really stressed now!! I know your most likely busy, but text her before she fires someone else for telling her to hurry up!! -Nat'
This made you laugh. The person who dared to take her attention away from something she cared about was going to be figuratively killed, especially with her temper- something you loved her for. You quickly replied to Nat, telling her you would be there soon, before flicking over to her contact.
'Im sorry I missed your calls Princess, I feel asleep after I got home from work. Good luck for tonight's show!! I miss you and can't wait to see you!! I Love you to the moon and back <3 xx'
You sent it off with a grin, hoping that she would forgive you. You didn't necessarily lie in the text, you did fall asleep and you couldn't wait to see her, she just didn't know how soon that would be. Soon enough, with help from the door man, you hailed a cab down that would take you to the arena. Your seat definitely wasn't the best, considering you bought the ticket last minute that is, but you were too stoked to see her anyway. Even though Nat gave you a VIP pass, that didn't mean you had the whole package.
You arrived at the arena and immediately started streaming in with the thousands of other fans that were excitedly making their way to the entrance. In all honesty, you were kinda wondering how the hell no one had recognised you in all of this. They probably assumed that if you were here, you'd be backstage or something- which is what you would normally do.
