Mishti Bose
"Haa, ek aur baat." He said when I was about to get down.
"Apne pravachan ko koi aur din ke liye bachake rakho. Mai thak gayi hu." I said.
"You can't listen without arguing can you?" He questioned sarcastically.
"Ofcourse. Lawyer ki beti hu." I scoffed."That's not supposed to justify your behaviour madam. Being a lawyer's daughter, tumhe ek acha listner banna chahiye. Badbadaane se pehle common sense ko use karo." Abir grumbled.
"Bataoge ya niklu?" I asked for one final time. He stated at me annoyingly."Mai Kuhu aur Kunal ko unki zindagi barbaad nahi karne de sakta." He stated sincerely.
"To? Kya mai tumhe ginie ki tarah dikhti hu? Apni saare wishes pura karne ke liye?" I asked smiling.
"Bolo baccha! Kya chahiye!" I pinched his cheek. Obviously he was looking cute. The next second I withdrew my hand. What was I doing! The air around us grew awkward as we stared at the opposite direction.
"Me too. Mai bhi un dono ko aise nahi dekh sakti." I said gazing at my purse on my lap.
"Mere paas ek idea hai." He sighed. I looked towards him. He was damn serious.
"Kya?" I questioned.
"Waise bhi unke paas che mahine hai. To kyu na divorce lene ki bajay-"
"Wo ek dusre ko accept karle?" I completed his sentence. His eyes twinkled as he smiled and we both high-fied.
"Best idea bro." I said and his face fell. What did I do now!
"Haa. Kyunki maine diya. Now get lost." He said and pushed me out. What the f-
"Don't swear in your mind." He smirked and took off.I sat dumbfounded as his car went away. He knew me way too well. Iska revenge bhi lungi bete!
"Matite boshe acho kena?" Maa shouted as she came to help me stand up.
(Zameen pe kyu baithi hai?)
"Akashe jayga payni. Isiliye." I scoffed and went inside.
(Aasmaan me jagah nahi mila.)
"Eta ki hoyche?" Maa mumbled.
(Isko kya hua?)"Waha kya hua?" Niha asked as I sighed sitting on the couch.
"Kunal aur Kuhu, shaadi ke liye maan gaye." I said.
"Wow! I mean, why?" Niha questioned again.
"Dono apne parents ko disappoint nahi kar sakte hai, so they agreed." I said taking off the earrings and necklace."Isn't that indirectly blackmailing?" She asked as Dadi smacked her head.
"Ise kehte hai badon ke faisle ko respect karna." She said.
"Dadi yaar. Iska matlab ye nahi hai ki dono ne poore dil se accept kiya. Kya pata kal kya hoga? Divorce le liya to?" I questioned that earned a hard glare from Maa."Mishti Bose! Listen to me carefully. Na wo dono divorce lenge, na hi tum unko ye idea dogi. You should be supportive to them in these tough times." She lectured.
"Haa beta. Un dono ke paas koi aur choice nahi tha. Par iska matlab ye nahi hai ki cheeze buri tarah khatam karna hoga." Baba told."Tum log aise kyu bol rahe ho ki mai un dono ka divorce lawyer hu! Mujhe bhi wo idea pasand nahi hai. It was just a probability guys chill." I said tensed. Just because they heard it from me they're freaking out. What happens when they learn that Kunal and Kuhu are actually going to part ways!
"Mujhe to aisa nahi lag raha. Kya kaand karke aayi hai?" Niharika narrowed her eyes at me.
"Kuch nahi meri maa. Kal college nahi hai tereko? Jaa soja." I scolded her.
"Kya phook rahi hai tu aajkal? Kal janmashtami hai madam! Holiday!" She dramatically stated."Aur haa, humne Bharadwaj family ko invite kiya hai." Maa said.
"Pata tha! Kisiko ghar bulaye bina aapka din nahi guzarta na?" I questioned her.
"Piku, tum hi to kal khood khood ke surprise dene ke liye unka ghar gayi thi. Ab kyu chid rahi hai?" She asked.
"Point hai. Phir bhi un logo ko ghar bulana itna important hai kya?" I whined.Ek din bhi shanti se nahi jee sakti! From the time I've met that monster, all I've faced is difficulties. I don't know what awaits me tomorrow. But, this could also mean a good sign. I could ask his help for convincing Kunal and Kuhu. Maybe, he'll stop acting like a douche for his friend.
