I see the lights although they're fading
Dimmer and dimmer until just dust in the wind
It's a fireworks show
A spectacle
A magnificent battle of love
Bright, hopeful, explosive but fleeting
Onlookers gaze up at the spectacle in vivacious wonder
They wait for the bang then the outflow of colors
Orange, red, pink, green
But they know better than the fireworks themselves that soon their lights will fade
Dimmer and dimmer until just dust in the wind
Soon the onlookers wont remember the beauty of each of the fireworks but they will cherish them for what they were
A wonder though short lived
And as for the fireworks
They will always be just dust in the wind
A flicker of their ten seconds of pure beauty
