Even though we were all stunned as to what just happened, the Ymbrynes immediately took charge, and they . . . we, took charge and restored order. All thirteen of us ordered for the compound to be searched for wights that were hiding.

When I returned from my search, I found Mum and Miss Avocet interrogating Sharon.

I quickly ran to them, saving one of my protectors while in the Acre, "He's fine! He's safe, I promise! He helped me and Jacob a lot."

"The last time you believed in someone here, they ended up becoming our enemy," Miss Avocet said, referring to when I told Myron that he had a Ymbryne who believed in him.

"But because of him we were able to collapse that loop. He made up for it. I don't think he was truly evil," I retorted.

I turned to my mother, begging her to realise I was telling the truth this time, not that I wasn't when I put my faith in Bentham, but I was for sure that Sharon wasn't on Caul's side.

Mum didn't say anything. I sighed and turned towards Sharon, "What was your reaction to Mr. Bentham's betrayal?"

"My bird, I was shocked!" he said, and I could tell he really meant it. "That man was always so kind to me. When he did what he did, I thought I was dreaming."

"He means it," Mum said before turning to Miss Avocet. "I think we all need to put more faith into Anna."

I smiled at this as the two older Ymbrynes let Sharon go. Sharon whispered a word of thanks to me before joining the others.

All the wights' prisons and labs were emptied, and their machines were quickly destroyed. All of their subjects were brought into the open and attended to while many more were freed from cells like my friends were imprisoned in.

As Mum, Miss Avocet, and I went to join the other Ymbrynes, we were made aware of a girl prisoner that was going around thanking all of us. She finished with one Ymbryne, Miss Nightjar before walking over to us, hugging Miss Avocet first.

"You don't know what you did for us. You don't know what you did," the little girl said, pulling away from the leader of us Ymbrynes, then hugging my mother.

Mum gave her a small smile before crouching down to the girl's height, "It's not us you need to thank, it's my daughter, Miss Peregrine Junior."

I smiled as the girl turned to me as her eyes widened. I couldn't get mad at her, I looked different than any other Ymbryne. While they were wearing dresses, long skirts, or knee length skirts, I was here wearing a polo, trousers, a belt, knee high boots, and I had my hair down, let alone a good chunk of my hair was a bright blue. I won't be surprised if I'm still mistaken for a peculiar child.

The girl smiled and bear hugged me, "Thank you so much."

"You're welcome," I replied, smiling down at her.

The girl pulled away from me before running off. Everything started to hit me, and I looked at the two older women before saying, "I'm a Ymbryne."

The both of them smiled back, Mum's being the biggest as she put an arm around me, holding me tightly, "Welcome home."

She almost made me start crying.

All of the Ymbrynes agreed that everyone needed rest. Me and Jacob suggested Myron's house, so that's where we went.

As we all got settled, me and Jacob, along with Emma who was hanging out with us, noticed Nim was walking around in a daze, probably because of my uncle's betrayal.
