Aubrey's POV
Hunter Hart and I are having our first official date today and as I get my light makeup on my dad comes in. He is wearing his work uniform because he needs to do some police paperwork at the department.
"Wow, my daughter is truly beautiful." Dad compliments me and I turn on my desk chair to face him and smile at him.
"Thank you dad, how long is your shift tonight?" I ask him because it will be just mom and Mia will of course be sleeping since she's 3. With all these text messages I don't want it to be quiet in the house when I get home.
"I'm not sure to be honest but don't worry it won't be like 5 am this time. I promise" I have always asked dad what time he'll get home since I was a kid because he is gone for too long and I don't like it.
"If you get home early tonight can we watch a movie?" I ask him and he perks up. "That sounds perfect, I better make sure no one gives me anymore shifts. I will try my best honey. I gotta go, love you. Good luck and I will arrest Hunter if he hurts you." Dad threatens and he hugs me and I hug him back.
"Yeah yeah, I know, go get to work so you don't get in trouble for being late." I suggest to him and he kisses my forehead and quickly leaves as he says.
"Bye love you" "I love you too dad." I say back and he leaves in a rush and I sigh. He's probably not going to be home in time for a movie.
I quickly grab my bag after I'm ready and call Hunter telling him I'm ready. I'm so nervous right now, I'm shaking.
