Samantha was an average banker, she would sit down at her desk everyday working the same exact nine-to-five, it was a fairly boring job, well, for her standards. Sam enjoyed adventurous jobs and hobbies, in fact, she used to be a professional bungee jumper until her back pain got the better of her. Samantha now sits at her desk for hours on end waiting for her shift to finish.
Well, that was what her life "was'' like, well, until the uprising and robotic colonization of the entire world. Turns out Freshmann Corp, a top-tier tech company, had a secretive base near mars where they were creating an entire machine empire. These "Robots" were nicknamed "Elo-Model1435" They were 6'5, humanoid smart devices that possessed artificial intelligence far better than anything seen from the competition. Some say the A.I. was too great. They would soon learn they were right.

"ALERT: Strange devices have been spotted in the sky exerting radiation waves stronger than anyone has ever seen before" Sam's phone buzzed, she checked the message and thought nothing of it "Must be another one of the government drills they're sending out for people to function well," Sam mumbled to herself.
"Bzzt" Sam's phone buzzed again. "(Chatsupp) Daniel: Hey, Sam? Are you taking this whole "robot" thing seriously? Or is it just me?" Samantha began to write back "nah, bet it's just some prank or drill" She put her phone on silent and went on with her life. Though that night, she could swear she heard a sound outside her door. A not very "human" sound.

The next day, Samantha went to drink her daily cup of tea on the porch. But when her eyes made contact with the window, she saw the outside, her cup fell to the ground nearing speeds of mach ten, shattering into billions upon trillions of pieces, "Is everyone i know ok?!" was all she could think of, there were destroyed, burned and shattered buildings in front of her, it looked like there was a hundred-year difference from when she had gone to bed, to when she had woken up. It was hell, and quite frankly, Sam was terrified. She quickly ducked behind a pile of books, avoiding an overlooking drone "Jesus Christ '' she cried to herself, checking for her phone, she quickly began dialing the police
"9" "1" She panted, "1" Fear overcame her in mere seconds, "There are currently too many calls coming towards this number, nobody at the network station can reach your call. Please call another time" And that was that, either Sam would have had to let herself bite the dust, or attempt to stand up against these bots and make a difference.

Thankfully, She chose the latter. Sam had a game plan. Immediately, she ran down to her basement, where her late fathers shotgun lay. She searched through the box labeled " Old Things Trash" in bluntie brand markers. Sam found her shotgun, which she was not even sure she legally owned anymore, and started to pull it out of the box. Laying under the shotgun was a strange ring. It had a tag on it and it looked like the run of the mill toy jewelry objects. On the tag there was a strange code on it, devised of alphanumeric digits. It included symbols, dots and lines. The ring seemed quite peculiar to our Samantha, and she decided to put it on.

Suddenly, in a burst of light, everything in the room began to fade. Sam couldn't stop looking and thinking about things and began thrashing around attempting to rip the ring off of her finger. But it just would not come off. She started to internally cry and scream, hiding her fear as she was aware of the uprising happening around her. Eventually, the ring's powers stopped. It began to dig into her skin until all that was visible was a short, polished diamond. In the blink of an eye, Sam found herself face to face with a security drone, it had flown into the room at an indeterminate time and the person behind it seemed to enjoy watching Sam struggle. "He He He Ha Ha Ha" It said in a digitized voice, "So Fun To Play" "Do You Like To Play" "Ha Ha Ha" Sam watched as the drone had commanded all other attack drones to her location and began to act in a fit of rage.
