-Lumines POV-

For some reason, it is an excruciatingly hot day. Even to the point of we're I wouldn't blame the people of Monstadt of heading over to Dragonspine to cool down. And to simply say that the city was dead would be a understatement, people who looked like sweaty rag dolls were piled over one another at Good Hunter Restaurant just for ice and water. Others were in the surrounding lake outside the walls, and even that couldn't stop the deadly rays. Commissions seemed to have doubled when the heat of the day awoke. And by then, I took the opening to flee before I got dragged into a unfortunate mess. To make it worse, the second I left, the Nights of Favonius started looking around for me. There seemed to have been no end to there stubbornness that I ended up running to the one place I felt the safest. It was also the exact starting point of my journey, the beach line of Starfell Valley. No one really knows this area, so I'm hiding here... Moments after I stepped onto the Sandy beach, I was bombarded by a cooling breeze. Lowering down my defenses I made my way over to a particular rock. Looking around for safety purposes, I let out a slow breath of relief when I found myself in the clear. What caught my attention was the sound of waves that seemed to zone my thoughts into oblivion as exhaustion swept over me. Slouching onto the sand, I leaned against the sitting rock. Upon that the birds seemed to have been in a good mood, for I could hear quiet songbirds chirping away in the nearby tree's. Without realizing what had happened, my body had slipped into a in-between sleep type state. One of where I couldn't move, but I could still hear what was happening around me. I figured, I fell asleep after the sound of the outside world disappeared and was replaced with my fictional lucid dreaming. Looking around for awhile, I noticed some unpleasant memories starting to pop up. Not wanting to stay here anymore than normal, I decided to slip back into consciousness. Groaning, I slip open a eyelid to notice a blurry green figure above me. Raising my hand up to clear my sleepy vision I noticed an all to familiar bard.

"Venti..?" Hoarseness seemed to hang onto my throat.

Venti seemed to jump a little, looking away from what I assumed was the ocean lapping at the sand in front of us. He looked down at me and gave me a bright smile.

"Hello again Lumine!" blinking a couple of times, I look at him confused.

"Wha.. wait. We're, when. Actually how did you find me?" I quickly stuttered out.

He laughs, "Did you forget that the wind tells me everything?"

Realization finally slaps me hard in the face, reminding me of my stupidity at times. Then letting out a deep sigh, I turn my head to the sound of the waves. Only to notice one small detail that was out of place.

Blush broke out slightly on my face, "Venti, what am I lying on?"

A small "Ehe" made its way out of Venti's throat as mischief twinkled in his Aqua-Green eyes. Sending a intense shiver down my spine, before responding with some sort of emotion in his voice.

"Why my lap, dear Traveler," I then flip my head towards him viciously.

"Haven't we gotten to the point of addressing each other by our actual names now?" he seemed to have sweat-dropped slightly.

Before he could respond however with a comeback; I resumed onward, "It's almost the same as me calling you..."

"Barbatos," then curbing my tongue, to make it pop.

Completely catching him off guard, he quickly stuttered to change to conversation topic.

"I-Well. uh, well you see, when I found you!" he exclaimed loudly, flinging his arms up in the air.

"Yes when I found you, you looked so uncomfortable laying against a rock. So I decided to move your head somewhere more comfortable, which so happens to be my lap..?" he seemed to slowly deflate.
