A Saiyan's Melody

Chapter 1-The Transformation

"Hey Chelle, hurry up! The beach will close soon!" I heard my friend Victoria call from the entrance to the beach.

"For kami sake! Hold your horses, i'm coming!"

Today is the first day of summer break. I haven't had much time to hang out with my friends ever since Gohan had defeated Cell. We have been training none stop incase another one of Dr. Gero's creations were to come around, but that hasn't happened. Vegeta and Bulma (My adoptive parents) would have come, but Vegeta is training Trunks. I still don't get it though, the kid is five and its like he is at a boot camp.

Any way, I came to Bulma and Vegeta when I was five. My parents were both Saiyans who escaped planet Vegeta's explosion. I was told they had to leave because they were going on a dangerous mission to help another planet defeat an evil alien, and they still haven't returned. But that is the past. And now, it's time to go to the beach.

"About time slow poke. You may be a Saiyan, but you can be slower than a snail!" Victoria yelled. (She's known about that since we fought Cell 3 years ago.)

"Thanks Tori, love you too."

The ocean looked beautiful today. The water was almost crystal clear and the sand was a pretty off white. The sound of the waves crashing on the beach was almost hypnotic. My tail swayed happily behind me. And the beach was deserted! We were the only ones there. Sweet!

"Hey last one in is a rotten egg!" Victoria yelled from the water line.

I have always loved the water. I have been on a competitive swim team since I was 8. Now I am 14 and ready to Swim!

"Coming!"

I ran into the ocean with a huge splash. A wave broke right as soon as I went into the ocean. I was almost knocked backwards. I came up to see Victoria ready to splash me with a huge amount of water. Oh no, she has a bucket! I knew I couldn't fly away, she can fly aswell. I would know, I taught her my self.

"Oh gez, what are you planning on doing with that bucket of water?"

"Just This" She threw the water straight at me; the bucket included! I caught the bucket and refilled it. I disappeared and reappeared behind her. Then I dumped the bucket of water right on her head! It was hilarious!

"Ha! I think you got a little wet there Tori!"

"Oh ha ha, very funny..." She stopped in her tracks and pointed to something behind me, "Look out!"

"What are you..." I turned around to see what she was talking about, "Ahhhh!!!" A huge wave, about 20 ft tall, was coming our way. It was going faster than a regular wave. It soon caught up to Tori and I.

"Come on get out of the water Chelle!" Victoria was already on the shore. I was a strong swimmer, but I don't think I can out swim the wave. Even with my Saiyan strength.

I was about 2 yards from the point were I can touch, but it was to late. I was swallowed up by the wave. I began to black out, but I could hear Victoria calling my name frantically.

Victoria's POV

My best friend was just swallowed up by a wave! What am I going to do? I have to call Bulma and tell her whats going on.

"Damn! No answer!"

After I tried to called Bulma, I went off to find Rochelle. I guess that I should fly, I'll have the best chance of finding her in the air. I searched for her ki. Oh no, I can't find it! She can't be dead, she just can't. Just the thought of that made me begin to cry. No! I can NOT think like that. She is a Saiyan, she will figure out something. I might be able to find her swimming in the ocean. I have to find her no matter what.

Rochelle's POV

Whoa, what happened? The last thing I remember was Tori yelling my name. Ow! I must have hit my head on something. I slowly sat up rubbing my head. It takes a lot to give me a headache, especially one this bad. I looked around to see that I am in some sort of a cave with a hole at the ceiling. I saw the moons reflection in a pool in the middle of the cave. It's full, better not look up. That would be bad if I went ape without knowing whats around me. I looked at my watch to see that it's about 11:55 at night. I stood up slowly using the cave wall for support.

"Where am I. This is defiantly not the beach. I swear, if Tori is playing a trick on me, I will get her back so bad!"

I began to get my balance back so I put my full weight on my legs and began to explore. The cave wall was a bluish-black with crystals stuck inside the walls. There was a pool in the middle of the cave, it looked to be 30 ft deep. The water was sapphire blue and there were ledges all around for sitting. I looked back at my watch.

"11:59, well I guess I should just sleep here for tonight and fly back in the morning."Just then the pool of water began to glow.

"What the!" I walked closer to the pool and put my hand in. I was over come with some sort of energy.

"Wait no, that's not energy. It can't be, magic doesn't exist!" Just then I fell into the pool. I came up gasping for air.

"I better get out before anything else happens,"droplets of water began to float all around me, "To late!"

I was freaking out, and thats not an understatement. I was lifted into the air, but i wasn't flying using my energy, the water was carrying me! My legs began to go numb and my vision became blurry. I was beginning to black out again. But just before I completely blacked out, I saw a tail. Not my Saiyan tail, but what looked like a mermaid's tail. A mint green almost. But before I got a good look, I blacked out.
