Run, run until he loses track of you.
Your mind was screaming at you as you were running in the middle of the night, your work uniform drenched from the heavy rain that was pouring down.
You couldn't see anything and you only followed the dim lights as you passed by them in hopes of not getting trapped at a dead end, the rain wasn't helping as it kept pouring down heavier than ever making it hard to look around you.
Your heart almost getting out of your chest as it kept pounding hard everytime you slipped on the pavement, thinking that one wrong step would make it easier for the killer to reach you.
How did you end up like this?
You could hear his laughter, meaning he was getting closer, your fear getting the best of you as you kept running faster until you lose your breath.
It was useless to hide, he knew where you would end up, always shouting where you exactly were making your anxiety going up to the roof.
You kept running until you met a dead end.
When your eyes met the end of the alley it felt like your heart stopped for a second, thoughts of what would happen after he finds you, what is he gonna do to you, so many horrible thoughts swirling around your head that it started to cloud your vision, ignoring the reality of a serial killer looking for you.
But it snaps quickly when you hear that crazy laugh of his, you quickly turn your head to meet the silhouette of that man, his white hoodie drenched in blood after his last kill.
Oh how you wished you turned the other way, you wished you could have gone to another path, but how would you have known when that was the only path you took to get to your way home?
You didn't expect that man to be there.
"You really thought I would lose you?" He asks, as he moved his knife in his hand in a taunting way, his dark blue eyes staring intensely at you as if he wasn't blinking.
You didn't say anything, you backed away until your back hit the wall, hoping that the wall would suck you in just to keep you away from this crazed man.
He slowly approached you, laughing at your current state, he found it amusing, he was having fun with you this was like a cat and mouse game to him.
As he got closer you could see in more detail of him, you were horrified, this man was pale than paper, his skin burnt, as if it was melted of some sort giving a horrible look, his black hair reached to his shoulders though you could see some patches of missing hair.
There was one certain feature that added to this horror, his mouth, a big smile that reached to his cheeks as old dried blood dripped from them. The cuts must be infected even.
Whatever happened to this man that reached to that point of madness?
His tall posture didn't help, you knew fighting him would be impossible but you wouldn't die without trying.
Your legs were shaking at how horrifying this man was, it was not something you were expecting, this was a total horror movie.
The man didn't waste no time and launched himself at you, knife ready to slice any part of your body, though you quickly move out of the way. You took this opportunity to push him towards the wall so he could fall or hit his head against but he was steady enough to balance himself, he turned around quickly and swung the knife at you again. Almost reaching your stomach, but luckily it sliced only the fabric you had on, you quickly back away only for him to pull you back and throw you against the wall just like you did with him.
You weren't as balanced as he was and you hit the wall hard enough, you slowly fell to the ground, your head pounding from the pain but your heart still racing fast knowing how quickly you lost the fight and knowing that at any second the man looking above you would pierce his knife through your skin.
You were on the hard concrete, laying on your side as you quickly covered your head with your arms, seeking some sort of protection from them.
You closed your eyes shut, waiting for the feeling of a knife going through any part of your body, your arms covering your head to at least feel a bit of protection, though nothing happened.
"Are you still alive?"
You hear a deep yet smooth voice call out to you, you slowly open your eyes as you see a pair of green eyes like emeralds staring right at you, you quickly back away and scan the alley you were cornered in to see if the killer that was chasing you was still there.
"Don't worry, he escaped. He ran away as soon as he saw me." He says.
Once again your eyes turn to the man to take a good look at him, to take a good look at your savior.
The first thing you noticed from him is how close he was crouched in front of you were the scars on his face, they were treated since there were some stitches but you could still see them.
His green eyes still staring at you in a uninterested way, his dark circles making him look more tired than he actually looks.
A long black and white scarf was covered around his neck, as you looked down you saw a cigarette he was holding between his fingers.
Was he in the alley smoking while all this commotion happened, seeing this whole scene as some sort of entertainment?
You didn't answer though as so many questions were playing in your head, it didn't seem to bother the man in front of you but he looked tired and decided to stand up straight to look down at you.
Then he started to walk away.
In a panic you quickly get up from the floor and follow him, "wait!" That's all you could say, and just with that word he turned around.
"Oh so you do talk." He says in response.
What is it with his behavior?
