It's been a couple months now since Aaron returned home and everything was peaceful. Aaron connected beautifully with his three children, especially Salem, who now had her own room.
Living on Lover's Lane was great, living amongst all of their friends and family. Vylad had just recently moved into town, choosing to live with his brothers, Garroth and Zane.
Zane had made it clear that he would much rather be living by himself, but unfortunately couldn't afford it, but Garroth sure doesn't mind have his two 'baby brothers' live with him.
Laurance and Aphmau started living together, as well as Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan, Travis and Dante living across from them. Everyone was happy where they were (except for Zane, but everyone knows he secretly cares for his brothers—and his ponies).
"Right! Can you tell me what color this is?" Aaron asked as Lumine pointed to the green shape. Aaron nodded. "Good job! Here's a bonus question, can you tell me what shape it is?"
Y/n smiled as Aaron sat at the table with the three kids, the girls coloring and him teaching Lumine shapes and colors.
She stood for a moment watching in awe of her fiancé and their kids when she heard a knock on the door. 'Wonder who that could be?' She thought as she went over to the front door and looked out the peephole on the door. Instant panic but excitement showed on her face as there stood none other than Melissa Lycan on their front porch.
Y/n never really disliked Melissa, she did help them communicate during hard times after all. Not to mention that she's been able to stop by every now and then to see the kids, and has been helping to hide them from her and Aaron's parents.
Y/n opened the door and smiled at her sister-in law to be. "Melissa! It's so great to see you! I thought you said you'd be busy with your parents!" She said as she leaned in and hugged Melissa, them exchanging a kiss on both cheeks.
"I am. But I needed to come see you." She said as Y/n let her in. "You come to see the kids again?" Melissa frowned. "I wish, but I came to warn you. Is Aaron home?" Y/n seemed worried and nodded, going to get Aaron from the next room over.
A few seconds after, Y/n returned with Aaron by her side. "Oh! Melissa! Hey, it's been a while." He stated as he hugged his sister. "What's wrong?" He asked, noticing Melissa's frown and Y/n's worried expression.
"Mom and Dad are moving back in town, just a few blocks over. I fear that they may be trying to find you and bring you back to do their bidding in the business." Y/n and Aaron looked alarmed as they exchanged glances.
Aaron let out a growl as his tail wagged furiously. "He can't just leave me to be happy, can he?"
Y/n placed her hand on his arm to calm him down a bit, which he did.  "Aaron.. Maybe we should—"
"I'm not letting them find out about the kids—especially Salem."
Y/n frowned but Aaron didn't notice as he stalked away from her and Melissa and up the stairs to their shared bedroom.
"Melissa?" Y/n asked gaining the other female wolf's attention. "Hm? What is it, Y/n?"
"Wouldn't it be beneficial for your parents to know? I know they were controlling before, but I feel like if they knew about the kids they would maybe let him go, right?"
Melissa sighed. "He isn't worried about himself, Y/n. He's worried about you and the kids. Especially knowing that Salem has the Ultima cur-er, trait," she trailed off before finishing. "He just wants to protect them and you. We don't know what our father could try and do."
"Oh.. I see. The kids could always go and visit Zianna and Garte. She was estatic when she found out she had grandkids." Y/n suggested, followed by a small giggle which made Melissa smile.
"I'm sorry to be a bearer of bad news, Y/n. I just wish you guys could stay peaceful and happy.." Melissa's smile faded back into a frown.
"It's fine, Mel. We can figure things out. Just like we always do." Y/n smiled reassuringly at her and she nodded. "You're right. I'll be taking my leave now. I hope to see you again soon Y/n." She said her farewells before going on her way.
'What should we do now? Is it really that bad of an idea to tell her parents about the kids? Or is that wrong?' Y/n thought about it for a moment before shaking her head.
"If both Aaron and Mel say it's a bad idea, then I'll work hard at hiding the triplets from them." y/n said aloud as she went upstairs to calm Aaron down.
