"𝐒𝐎 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖?" Max asks as she walks next to Mariya, who still holds her large gun. Dustin and Lucas walk behind the two girls as Steve and Elvira are in front of everyone.
On their way home, Steve hasn't stopped starring at Elvira, wanting to check if she's okay. For the past ten minutes, she's trying to take out all the blood off of her.
"Now, we go back and try to communicate with the others" Dustin says "Can't you do, what you did before at my house?" He asks her.
"No, I tried before, I can't reach them I don't know why" Elvira answers.
"I'm pretty sure, that these creatures were smaller than a demogorgon" Lucas says.
"Yeah, they were like dogs. Demogorgon babies" Dustin agrees with Lucas.
Elvira continues to clean herself, until Steve stops her.
"Here let me" Steve says and takes the cloth from her hands. He rubs the blood of her hands as they walk. The kids behind, are talking for their friends and not looking at them.
"Hey, um, I'm sorry for what I said earlier. It was not okay" He says, not looking at her...but Elvira is.
"I already forgot that" She says.
"I just- I just wanted you to look at yourself a bit differently than you do. Just, what I said, look at yourself through my eyes and you'll figure out how amazing you are"
As Steve speaks, the kids pass by the two of them, cause Steve and Elvira slowed their pace down.
"Steve" Elvira starts speaking and they both stop to look at each other "I love you too. All these years... I've always loved you, Steve. I regret that I never said anything to you and since I returned, those feelings came back with me. I'm in love with you, Steve...I am. You have no idea just how much I'm in love with you" Elvira expresses her feelings to Steve and sighs, feeling relieved she finally said the whole truth.
"Seriously?" He asks her.
"What?" Elvira half whispers her question.
"Nothing, I just never expected that" Steve says abs chuckles.
"You didn't?" Elvira asks.
"To be honest, no... but now I'm relieved"
Steve moves closer to her, grabbing her by her waist and closes the gap between them.
