"Nice to meet you, I'm Matt. Matt Barnes."
-
"I'm cat" I answer shyly, avoiding direct eye contact. I never liked eye contact. It feels like someone is staring directly into your soul.
"Oh wait, are you the new girl? Never saw you around before.", he asks, still staring at me. By staring I mean looking at me. I'm never getting used to people looking at me. No wonder why I don't have any friends.
"Yeah I just moved here from Los Angeles.", I said still avoiding, his gaze. "America. Nice! Show me your schedule. We might have some classes together." he took the piece of paper out of my hands. "Alright, first class is Science. Come on it's this way." He took my hand and pulled me into another corridor.
"So why did you move from sunny LA to cold, depressing London?" he asked, as we were walking through the large building. Sun was shining through the large windows. "The weather isn't that bad" I said looking outside. There we're a lot of little groups sitting beneath trees, enjoying the weather.
"That wasn't my question" he sang, trying to annoy me. "I moved here with my mom. She got a job offer in London and thought a little change would be good for me." I said, while continuing looking out the windows.
"What about your father?" - "My parents recently got divorced. He and my little sister stayed in LA" I replied quickly.
After a 5 minute walk, we got to a classroom and entered it. "Here we are. Let me introduce you to my friends." he pulled me to three guys in the back of the room. I just stood there, looking at them shyly.
"Sup guys! This is cat, she just moved here from LA." Matt said with a huge smile on his face.
"I'm Chris, this is Dan and Max." Chris, a guy with long hair and a nice smile said. Dan's a really good looking guy with short hair and blue eyes. And last but not least Max. He's the shortest and kinda looks like a really big baby."Nice to meet you guys.", I smiled and looked at them. Did I really just make friends?
"Where is Franceschi?" Dan asked, looking at up to the clock. "He is so gonna be late again." Matt chuckled. "What the hell is a Franceschi?" I laugh.
"It's Josh. Completes our little group and is the singer of out band." Max says looking at the door. "You're in a band?" I ask. This is getting really interesting.
"Yes. We are. The name's You Me At Six. We suck." Matt says with a huge smile on his face. "What do you guys play?" I ask drumming some random beat on the table with my fingers.
"Mostly cover songs from bands like Blink-182, Green Day or Fall Out Boy. But we wrote some songs too." Dan answers. "You should come to our rehearsals after school" Matt says excited. He's really cute and has a bubbly personality.
"Where the hell is Josh at? Class starts in like two minutes." Chris looks at his watch. In that moment the door opens and a tall guy with messy brown hair enters the room.
He sits in the chair next to me. "Who exactly is this girl?" He looks at Matt. Charming. "'This girl' is Cat. She just moved here." Matt says, giving him a weird look. "Hi" I smile awkwardly.
He turns around and tilts his head to the side a bit, looking at me. The piercing blue color of his eyes was breath taking. Never in my entire live have I seen eyes like this.
