"I'm sorry.. I never meant to hurt you Elijah, You are someone special to me and I'm sorry I didn't wait, I'm sorry I didn't hold up my promise, I'm sorry for leading you on. I truly did wish to be with you but I can't help it! I can't help my heart! My stupid heart That always somehow forgives Klaus. I can't help it Elijah! I just love him and I don't know how to stop! I'm sorry you deserve better. I understand if you don't want to ever talk to me again. I'll leave."

I get off him, this time Elijah let's me go. His expression is complicated, it seems that he's processing everything I just said.
I was going to go but Elijah grabs my wrist before I could go. I turn to him nervously expecting him to yell but I'm shocked to see him look apologetic.

"Please forgive me. I shouldn't have pushed you like that and you never led me on Amour, I have always known how much you love Niklaus but my selfishness couldn't let you go."

"Elijah no you aren't-"

I try to interrupt but he places his finger on my lips, hushing me into silence.

"I am a very selfish man when it comes to you Zaina but if you really love Niklaus then I won't interrupt. I am happy as long as you are but if he hurts you again, know that I won't ever let you near him ever again."

"Oh Elijah.." I jump into his arms glad to have him back, glad to have my best friend back.

"Thank you so much! You are the best Elijah!" I say as I hug him tighter, Elijah chuckles in amusement and places a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"Anything for you Amour."

What Zaina didn't know was Elijah's true thoughts.

"I'll show you his reality Amour, he doesn't deserve you,he will only end up hurting you.Niklaus has a thousand enemies, he can't protect you but I can. I'll take you away from him and away from these people who keep deceiving you. I'll show you the truth."

"For now if being your friend is the only way to keep you close, then I shall play along."

There is a thick tension in the air as everyone eats the lunch prepared by the one and only Viraj. Except for of course grandma, who right now is trying very hard to beat General Radhan in Elden ring but alas her foolish ambitions are always set to rest by the star scrouge.

"It's nice to have you back Elijah. You must have been pretty busy with your business meetings, I'm glad you could take some time out of your busy schedule for us." Kavya says smiling sweetly at Elijah, which irks the other Mikalesons.

Kol snarkly says "Yeah we are sooo lucky that the billionaire, business tycoon, forbes most sexiest man alive is here with us. Oh we are so lucky... By the way where is your dog? That brat seemed to stick to you like a glue, oh did he run away from you? Because he couldn't handle your amazing life?"

His remarks doesn't fail to anger Elijah and of course amuse Klaus.

Zaina sitting right next to him, slaps him on the shoulder and says

"Shut up Kol you are just jealous. Elijah don't mind him, he's still a kid." While smiling sweetly at Elijah.Kol pouts feigning sadnes and slides his arms around Zaina's shoulder. Mischievously he says

"Oh really am I kid Zaina? Well would I be a kid, if I do this?" Kol quickly pecks Zaina on the cheek before she could say anything.A glass breaks. It's Viraj's.

"Kol Mikaleson, how dare you!?"

Kol being smart runs away immediately with his food.
