Chapter 3: Alexandra

Marcy POV

I walk downstairs, after yesterday I'm glad the Hatter agreed to unground me today. I see the hatter sitting on his couch, enjoying tea with McTwisp and Mallyumpkin. "Hi, Hatter!" He turns to me. "Hello, Marcy," He says, I bow. "May I go out in the woods?" He sips the last bit of his tea. "Not without me, you're not," Hatter sits his cup down "Excuse me, I need to stop her from getting into too much trouble." I roll my eyes. "I do not get in that much trouble?" I say, Hatter looks at me. "Marcy, you pretended to drown yesterday need I remind you?" Hatter says, I look away. "Apologies, Hatter can we go now?" I ask. "We may," Hatter says walking away, I follow him out the door and lead him to the woods. I hear heavy breathing. "Hatter is that you?" I ask. "No, I thought it was you," Hatter replies I look around and see a large figure; a dragon! I walk up to it and Hatter follows behind me. "Marcy Kingsleigh! You get back here now!" He whisper-yells, I don't listen.

I walk straight up to the icy looking dragon and they notice me. "I do apologize, I was just admiring your gorgeous blue scales!" I bow. "It's quite alright, may I ask your name?" The dragon says. "Marcy- Kingsleigh, what is yours?" I ask the dragon grins. "I'm Alexandra," Alexandra responds. "Beautiful name! You are such a beauty, I would love to be your friend," I smile, Alexandra kneels down. "You can be my friend if you'd like Marcy, you are very kind," I smile and pet her head. "May I ride you?" I ask, the Hatter comes out from behind a tree. "You can't ride a dragon without an adult, Marcy," The Hatter insists. "Why don't you ride with me then, if it's okay," Alexandra nods. "Fine then," The Hatter says, we both get on her. "Where do you want to go?" Alexandra asks. "Anywhere really, I don't mind," I say. "Okay, I'll just fly around for a bit and come back here," Alexandra says.

Few minutes later, she brings us back to the same spot and we leave. I wave goodbye and she smiles to me. We make it home and I run upstairs with excitement. "Marcy," The Hatter walks into my room. "You know, you're half mad- not even! You're three quarters mad for going up to that dragon without a second thought, but you're also very kind for not judging it by its cover, I'm proud of you, Marcy," The Hatter smiles, I smile back. "Thank you, Hatter," I respond, he leaves my room. I am very glad I have him.
