"So how'd you find me?" Athenodora asked Annea as the pair walked down the cobbled streets of Athens. After their meeting in the forest earlier that very morning, Annea had insisted that Athenodora join her in a walk to the markets to become reacquainted after their brief time apart.

"Do you really doubt how well I know you Athena?" Annea asked her in mock offence, in truth it wasn't that Athenodora was hard to find and it helped knowing where the vampire liked to spend her alone time, away from society and all the humans that occupied it.

"Of course not, I just didn't expect to see you until the week after this," The pair had made it to the outer parts of the city market, somewhere Athenodora wasn't all to fond of visiting for obvious reasons. "So what changed?" Athenodora asked her friend inquisitively, she hadn't expected Annea back from Rhodes for another week at best, at least not with the travel involved in the journey for a human.
"Lets just say things didn't go to plan," Now facing Athenodora whilst still standing in front of her, Annea walked backwards as she spoke. Even when not adding onto the clearly obvious story behind the statement, Athenodora had to talk several words of her own, directing Annea so that she wouldn't fall into anything or anyone.

"Why do I feel like there's a story behind your magical appearance?" Athenodora smirked as she folded her arms over her chest continuing to walk with a perfectly arched eyebrow raised to her closest friend.

"Oh Athena, why must there always be a story?" Finally Annea turned herself around, but still she didn't walk like a lady should, instead settling for more of a skip rather than a walk. The two finally reached what was referred to as the heart of the towns market, which also meant the place where the most mortals were.

"Because it's you Annea, there's never not!" Athenodora exclaimed to her companion who was currently waltzing over to one of the many stalls, choosing to purchase a loaf of bread. Still knowing there was something more to this tale, Athenodora decided to drop the topic and instead concentrate on not just spending time with her friend but the very many humans that surrounded them.

Walking back over with her acquired purchase and seeming rather proud of herself, Annea took up her original place by Athenodora's side. "Want some?" Annea asked between bites, gesturing with the loaf of bread slightly towards the snowy blonde vampire.
"You know I can't eat it," Athenodora spoke grumpily muttering slightly under her breath, a sound that Annea's ears weren't able to pick up on. Making an 'Oh' sound in remembrance, the auburn haired human went back to silently eating her first purchase of the day, keeping very well in toe with the now slightly grumpy vampire.

A couple of moments had passed since Athenodora had last piped up and Annea hadn't spoken since either, instead the two women navigated their way around the sea of people flooding the market and every so often Athenodora or Annea would see something that peaked their interest enough for them to go and have a look.

Currently Annea was over looking at some of the spices and herbs that were being sold from one of the merchants. Whilst her friend enjoyed looking at the many different types of spices, Athenodora instead turned her attention to a table filled with all sorts of materials, some practical for wear and others not quite so much.

After the fine materials had served their purpose of entertaining her for a time, Athenodora instead simply decided to wait for Annea and hope that she wouldn't be to long. She wasn't quite hungry yet but the vampire didn't want to risk it in a setting such as the towns market for that much longer.

Site seeing wasn't that much of an interest to her but Athenodora couldn't deny that she was indeed a nosey person and enjoyed watching people instead of seeing places. There was just something so much more fascinating about watching humans at their day to day tasks, then there was anything else.
