His Shield(TROTSHxoc)

Prologue

"[PAST HERO'S NAME]!" Kumi laughed.
"Haha" [PHN] laughed, "Yume?" Kumi asked. "Hm? What's wrong, Kumi" Yume responded, "What will happen after you and [PHN] go back home?" Kumi asked. Yume and [PHN] stayed quiet.

"Well... me and [PHN] might get married" Yume answered for both her and [PHN]. "What's marriage?" Kumi asked very confusingly. "Well uh, it's when two people get connected forever with a few words from a Pope." [PHN] answered in response to Kumi's question. Well since Yume was very flustered due to Kumi's question.

"We should get some rest, the next wave is coming soon and You can't fight when your tired right?" Yume quickly changed the topic. "Uh I take offense to that," Kumi pouted "I'm not a 12 year old anymore," Kumi tried to replied towards the comment Yume made. "More like a teenager with a 12 year old soul, haha" [PHN] respond back. "HOW DARE YOU," Kumi replied dramatically.

"Come on now, Kumi" Yume started "you need to get some rest alright?" "Alright, Mom" Kumi responded in a tired voice. Yume picked up Kumi and headed into the carriage. Kao, named after Kumi, decided to stay near [PHN].

"Hey, Kao?" [PHN] caught Kao's attention. "Raw?" Kao made the sound of a bird in confusion. "Take care of Kumi for me yeah?" [PHN] asked the favor. Kao purr at the favor, as if he was agreeing with the favor.

"Anyways, good night Kao." [PHN] last response for the night, as the night slipped away....
Time skip to tomorrow

"The wave is almost near, get ready Yume and Kumi" [PHN] commanded making sure Yume and Kumi doesn't die in this wave. Be knowingly the damage this wave will do, will be way more than a couple of buildings being lost. "Right" Yume and Kumi responded.

They all teleported near where the wave started. "Kumi!" "Got it!" Kumi using her scythe to slash through the other worldly monster. "YUME-." "Got it!" Yume dodged the monster's attack. Fighting off the monsters, they haven't realized the monster within the radius.

But it was to late... the monster stabbed both [PHN] and Yume. Realizing this, Kao grabbed Kumi and flew far to the nation of Melromarc. Dropping her on a old lady's lawn, while Kao few back to [PHN] and Yume trying to help out once again. "KAO!" Kumi shouted "PLEASE COME BACK!" Kumi tried to command Kao, but he was already far away.

"What wrong sweety?" The old lady paused "Aren't you supposed to be with the [Past hero alias]" the old recognized Kumi. "Yes! I need to get back to them!" Kumi responded as well while protecting the old lady from the monsters.

"Well I believe it's already to late..." the old lady tried to comfort Kumi. "No no no no no... please I need to get back to them." Kumi cried. "I need to..." Kumi fell asleep in the lady's arm. "Poor girl..." The old lady took Kumi in.

As time passes, Kumi started to get over her grief and help the old lady around the house. As well as going under training by clearing nearby monster nest that was caused by the waves. But she can never taste food as the way when she was with her companions, and laugh, smiles had gone down the drain.

Sadly the old lady had passed away giving everything to Kumi.

Kumi decided to adventure, so she sold everything the lady gave her. And soon she started venturing, gaining her levels to 60. Kumi saw a poster about adventuring with a hero, One of The Legendary Heros.

I'll be the one to test their worth.
