Chapter 2: What a Betrayal.

"I'm gonna head to bed, good night Master Naofumi."Kumi said after finishing her food
"I might head to bed as well-" Naofumi replied before getting cut off by Princess Bitch. "By the way, Sir Hero, aren't you going to drink your wine?" Myne asked waving a wine bottle.

"Nah, I'm not into booze." Naofumi answered. "Really? This is pretty good, you know. I'd love to drink with you." Myne replied to his answer.

"S-Sorry. I really don't like it." Naofumi explain. "Is that so? That's too bad. That's a hero for you, I suppose." Myne commented. She is really trying to get him drunk? Kumi looked at Myne in disgust.

"What do you mean?" Naofumi asked. "This country is a matriarchy. No man would ever dare turn down a drink offered by a woman." Myne answered. Huh? That's her reasoning? She's that desperate... Kumi rolled her eyes as she watches them using an invisibility mask hiding from both of them.

"Really? I'm not very good at picking up on this stuff." Naofumi scratch his head shyly. "Don't worry about it." Myne said. "I'm glad we got to discuss our plans moving forward. I'd like to turn in early tonight. Is that okay?" Naofumi said ending the conversation. "Of course. I'll head up after I drink some more... Although I feel so lonely drinking alone." Myne still trying to guilt trip Naofumi once again.

"H-Hey, Myne? Thanks for joining me, a shield hero who can't fight at all. I turned you down tonight, but I'll make it up to you someday." Naofumi commented on Myne's "kindness" in joining his party. "It's totally fine. Good night, Sir Hero." Myne replied. "Night" Naofumi replied back.

Best if I walk back to my room. Kumi slipped back to her room without notice.

What the heck is going on...? Kumi's eyes started to open slowly.

Why is Master Naofumi on the ground kneeling? Who is holding me? Kumi looked up to see Motoyasu yelling at Naofumi.

"How dare you take advantage of this young lady, when she was drunk?!" Motoyasu shouted. Wait is he talking about me???? Kumi looked so confused, and quickly dropped kicked Motoyasu. Kumi walked towards Naofumi "Naofumi doesn't like alcohol, I know because I was actually spying while Naofumi and MYNE was having a conversation. And last time I checked, I never had alcohol in my whole entire life span since I've been born."

"Let's go-" Kumi said before getting cut off by Naofumi.

"Wait-" Naofumi started. "Hm?" Kumi answered. "This is what you wanted, right? You can shove it up your ass." Naofumi tossed the rest of the slivers at the 'heros'

"Hey! Wait a second!" Motoyasu shouted back. "You must've brainwashed her or something!" "He has no such ability, now shut before I actually shove the slivers up your asses." Replying while looking down on them. "And beside, I'm really weak, you see. I don't have a second to waste." Master Naofumi commented.

"Let's go Kumi." "Right" Kumi walked side by side with Naofumi.

"Hey, kid with the shield. I heard what you did to that girl. You deserve a punch to the face!" The cashier from the shop... he was nice before... Kumi looked disappointed. "You too?" Kumi and Naofumi asked disappointed. "You..." the cashier started. "What? Weren't you going to punch me?" Master Naofumi mocked. "Master..." Kumi looked worried for a sec.

"I changed my mind." The cashier looked away in pity. "Good. You were about to lose your life there." Naofumi looked like he was about to burn a place down. "Wait a second. You'll never make it dressed like that. Consider this a parting gift." The cashier said. Naofumi dropped one of the cloaks on Kumi.

"How much?" Naofumi asked in a cold tone. "Doesn't matter. But let's call it a clearance
sale and say ten coppers." The cashier replied. "Gotcha. I promise to come pay you someday." Naofumi promised the cashier. He's still have some nice in him after what happened at the castle. Kumi getting lost in thought.

"Don't die, kid." Cashier commented.

"Kumi, hurry up before I leave you behind!" Naofumi started heading to the field. "Right, coming!" Kumi ran to catch up with him.

She's still with him? Huh, she's a keeper. Keep her safe Naofumi. The cashier stare at them from a distance.

"Hey... uh thanks for staying with me even though that happened.." Naofumi said. "Hm? Oh don't worry about it, beside they never listen to the other side of the story. And the other heros? Their just full of themselves." Kumi replied. Naofumi laughed a bit at her comment about the other heros.

A/N: I'm BACK lol. This chapter is kinda short but the next chapter will contain Raphtalia. I think that's how you spell her name. Anyways
